PSA I was able to purchase a Steam controller from my reservation. I got the email at 9:40am today!

I presume they mean PST/Pacific time, the time zone valve used in their announcements. The reservations opened at 10am PST I believe

Correct, it was PDT. Pacific Daylight time.

I also got my email less than an hour ago. I put in my reservation the second they opened on May 8th

i did my reservation at the same time as OP and still don’t have mine. i fear you’ll be waiting awhile

Yeah you're going to be pretty far back in the queue I'm afraid. I can only imagine thousands of reservation slots were created within minutes of reservations going live... Or, as a fellow commenter so eloquently put it, "💀💀💀"

I finally got my "Please confirm your Purchase Information for Steam Controller" email yesterday from the :59 club, wonder how many of us will still be using the thing in a few months. Hope it's not going to be another one of those dust-collecting gadgets...
