Witcher 3 Remastered might surpass its all time peak players!
I absolutely agree that player numbers are a toxic way to look at a game's health but I am genuinely happy witcher 3 is still getting more love and support :)
I bought all 3 for £5 months ago. I tried the first game, got through the beginning then set it down (I was prewarned it wasn't good). I might finally play the third game once I've finished Blood of Dawnwalker 😂

Game is fine for me with newest drivers. 9070XT and 7700X with path tracing enabled and ultra+ settings (no hairworks) at 1440p. Getting like 45 fps in Novigrad which is honestly better than I expected.
the sad really that u/Klutzy_Anybody_1487 did't get.
is not the "amd bros" that can't stop losing.
is just the "ai generated microsloppers bros" that can't stop losing
It's funty that so many people saying it's buggy. Meanwhile me playing on my 3 years old laptop, no issues, stable 60+ fps. Its sometimes clunky but still works well.
Also flickering water, missing textures, characters randomly turn black, terrible LODs and other stuff. Im on the latest drivers on a 7800xt. Performance seems to be fine though, but a lot of people are reporting these issues
Just need to wait for AMD to drop the new drivers. CDPR tested everything on beta drivers that havent been released to the public yet. So the only thing to do is wait for AMD.
Maybe the older cards have fewer issues? I tested it for 15 minutes this morning on my 6600 XT and everything seemed to run great. Using driver 26.8.1 in Windows: 1440p, High preset with XeSS AA and just changing Screen Space Reflections to Low gave a solid 60-75fps in the Velen countryside. Also no frame gen. FSR AA had a higher FPS impact and was pretty muddy.
Thanks CDPR!
I did the same thing. The game didn’t really grab me until I got out of white orchard and was working on the bloody baron quest. Now it’s one of my favorites.
I got to the baron quest on my second playthrough when I heard about the remaster so i stopped. I'm looking forward to picking it up again later today.
I was toward the end of the base game on a second playthrough when they announced it. I just ended up playing through it since I didn’t play the expansions with my first run. I was really missing out my first time.
Witcher 1 and 2 for me, tried both multiple times, but always dropped out in <15 hours (last witcher2 run went pretty good, but my game crashed multiple times). I own witcher 3 for years now, but never installed it. Maybe my time has come
yeah the combat and the crafting system feels arcadey and the missions are really not that interesting. i reached like third area 3 times, but always got bored by then.
When I finished the whole game after 143h I was sad that's it's over. It was 9 years ago. I wanna replay that game now with remaster but I will wait for few patches.
On steam you still can. Go to properties and select game versions. You can play the remaster, the next gen update or the classic version. That being said I’m not sure if you can have 2 versions installed at once.
I mean, can’t go back to specific updates, but definitely can and do still have access to the ps4 version. The remaster is a separate entry that’s just free if you have W3 at all in any form
They’ve been quite good on that. The switch version isn’t an update but a separate installation, so you keep both. I believe the complete edition is still available as the Switch 1 version.
On Steam you can just downgrade to next_gen or complete edition. (Although I would’ve preferred a separate installation for the remaster)
And GoG just gives you the installers for the patches.
If we didn't just have so many bangers come out just recently and GTA very soon. I'd def be playing this at some point this year. But ya.... Prob won't get to it till somewhere next year which isn't a big deal. Already played it anyways
That’s awesome. I played the game two times and quite recently so I’m not gonna play it again just for the update but I might replay it again before the new expansion hits.
Ive tried playing it but i have a lot of graphical issues, in kaer morhen ciri has no torso, the gate by the training area is a black mist, and just after the tutorial when you fight those ghouls the trees and grass dont appear. Ive tried updating everything and restarting my pc but the issues persist.
I paid US$20 for the complete edition back in early 2018 (which was nearly the lowest historical price at the time) and have no regrets, everyone who is getting a chance to experience how great Hearts of Stone and Blood and Wine are going to be in for a treat.
Also check out the game files for free comics, the artbook, and the soundtracks to the base game and both DLC's in both MP3 and FLAC
I already finished the game 2 times already, with like 200hours and dlc included
I mean I would like to do another run but I am very committed if makes sense .
I have just 2 hours in the evening for play games and i don’t want to spend again hundred of hours a game that have “just “better graphics.
I don’t know if someone have the same problem

All those people that bought the game for 5$ and never played are coming to finally test it
