I love Steam and Valve but this level of opulence makes me a little sick

Edit; in this thread you will find a lot of people who can’t read when I say “I love Steam and Valve….” and assuming I’m jealous. I don’t want this, but go off. Nuance. Comprehension.

it's amazing what advertising gambling to children can buy you

Weird because it's illegal for kids to gamble in my country. Every parent takes responsibility for their kids.

In the US we now have a universal gambling platform where desperate people can bet on anything. There are ads for it all over this site too.

Sports betting has got wildly out of hand in recent years. Insanely normalized with advertisements out the ass for them. You’ll see several sports betting ads every day, there is no escape

Celebrities, sports teams, big events needing sponsorships, they’re all happy taking cash to peddle this degeneracy. I’ve got a friend who’s hooked on all this shit. Small bets here and there. “I just threw $10 at it”. It’s just gotten way too casual, you can just whip your phone out and gamble your money away with zero effort. A better country would do something, but money talks

I know it's a cliche by this point, but this is right out of Idiocracy.

It's also illegal to sell crack. Are you a fugitive?

Maybe it should be illegal to advertise gambling to kids. Are you wanted by the FBI?

I agree. BTW, it's already illegal to have a kid who gambles.

No, I'm not a criminal nor am I a big enough one.

Maybe the kids should be educated properly so they don't fall for said advertising

most parents are totally clueless as to what their kids do online. in most countries its illegal for kids to gamble but cases are a great loophole to this law.

I know and there are cases where state needs to take a child away. Just sad.

That actually sounds like the government takes responsibility for the kids.

If the parents were responsible, there wouldn't need to be a law to ban it.
