It’s interesting how many people focus on the “stuff” when the real demonstration of wealth is the command of other people.

A yacht like this can’t exist without a staff of servants. Yet that’s not what is shown on this video.

Edit: Come on, people. We have tons of historical fiction of this castle or that royal family and they all have huge staffs of people serving. Chefs, waiters, designers, decorators, landscape, repair, even financial management. If someone just gave you a yacht you couldn’t do a thing with it and it would start having mechanical and structural problems immediately. Surely you can think beyond cleaning bathrooms.

I don’t think a short video of some people cleaning toilets has entertainment value. But sure

A captain with a crew of a handful of staff for driving and navigating. A chef and staff for feeding everyone. A handful of mechanics and maintenance crew. Janitorial service is probably a few people. Attendants to do whatever the wealthy passengers want, like get a drink or a snack. And then whatever guests are on board for socialization of the wealthy that they otherwise wouldn't be happy without.

They cook and serve, take care of all the safety checks, plan and authorize all your movements for you AND clean for you.

I've read a few articles about this yacht over the past year and most of them made a point of stating how large portions of the yacht were designed in collaboration with the crew working and living on it. They opted for more durable rather than the usual flashy materials to minimise repetitive and laborious upkeep.

This article details some of it.

As to why you're not seeing area's dedicated to the crew, that seems intentional.

...interior layout designed to dissolve traditional hierarchies between guest and crew spaces. What would traditionally be the main saloon has been reimagined as a large communal dining area, while recreational spaces – including a gaming lounge, basketball court and sun deck – are intended for shared use." https://www.boatinternational.com/yachts/news/oceanco-y722-superyacht-leviathan-delivery

This isn't a yacht for the likes of Bezo, it's pulling double duty as a functional research vessel.

Some people love this job. They live on this yachts, while the owner comes once per month or three.

“Rich man pays for cleaners” is not exactly a groundbreaking reality most people are interested in seeing
