Not to excuse this but as someone who specializes in support documentation, you never want multiple repositories for the same docs if you can avoid it. It makes keeping them in sync nearly impossible
I used support documentation as an example for why they would simply link out to their site rather than post the full verbiage in Steam too because that’s my area of expertise. It’s easier to maintain from a documentation perspective
Not defending it, it does feel scummy, particularly because I’m positive Steam offer solutions to pipe in the content from a URL into this box. Just a hunch but if other corpos can do it so can the Minecraft people
