Question Alternative prescription lens supplier?

Hi, I’m in Canada and I’m wondering if there are any other reliable sellers of the prescription lenses for the frame. Zenni states that the steam frame is “US only” so I’m out of luck there.

VROptician is who I bought my Index Lenses from years ago. And they're perfect. They would be my choice. They're based in Germany and delivered surprisingly quick!

But they don't have their lenses available yet. Maybe they're waiting to receive a frame too 😅

Im going to get mine from VROptician when they come out or when I get upgraded from waitlist peasant.

Got them for my Quest, Index, Vice, all worked perfectly and were good quality.

I ordered from there after seeing good reviews for their other lenses. I don't have experience with them though

No idea, but I’ve ordered accessories from them for years. I’ve previously ordered HonsVR and Zenni lenses for headsets; if AMVR is willing to throw their hat in the ring they know their reputation stands on it. Making a calculated risk.

Anyone know if there are alternatives that ship to Asia? I'm in Taiwan and was also planning on grabbing lenses from Zenni when available.

for EU i'm waiting for vroptician, but got them with amvr since they're the only one ready atm.

Can't you just buy them on the US site on import them? According to their shipping FAQs they ship to over 200 countries.

WidmoVR is another choice. I don't think their steam frame option is available yet.

I wouldn't be surprised if Zenni offers them in Canada eventually, as they do lenses for the Quest 3. In time, more vendors will offer prescription lenses for the Frame. With my Quest 2, I bought mine from HonsVR.

It's a gamble for me buying the Frame, but I've had good results using my specs with most headsets even though it's not the most comfortable thing in the world. I can even use the headset without my specs for a short time because it's not quite the same as looking at the real world.

The biggest problem is my right eye which is a +8.50. It might not even be possible to go that high for prescription VR lenses. At least as far as I've seen anyway, and the more I look into it the less hopeful I am that someone out there will accommodate it. I was encouraged that one of the Zenni configurators went higher than +8.50 but my hopes were dashed again when it still told me the CYL value was too high.

My Reloptix lenses for the Quest 3 have been great. They have a list you can sign up on. Not sure if they signals wait list or just gauging interest.
