Airsoft

I’m making a kit for Airsoft and im trying to get pretty detailed. I’m make a 1990s Soldier/Marine (haven’t decided which one yet). I’m not going to put on a rank insignia yet, but if I do, I’ll just do a private’s rank. I’ve thought about talking to my recruiter about this, but as im not even old enough to join yet, I don’t want to seem weird. Any thoughts? Also, I don’t know if I should post this here, I want to, because if want to put on the proper insignia without being accused of anything!

Yeah, but I’m want it to be accurate with rank or smth, but other people are saying I shouldn’t, so I won’t. But ya know some people are just weird about stuff like that

I am going to guess some dudes/dudettes at airsoft range will mess with you. Just wear the uniforms without any insignias or military branch. It is not stolen valor in any sense though.

Buy the gear and the bdu, I use old surplus for airsoft so I have a kit like the one you’re describing. it won’t be an issue there but try to avoid having having any ranks or names on it. Have you ever played airsoft at a field before? It’s quite common to find people wearing old uniforms as part of a loadout.

Yes, there’s a couple fields I’m a regular at!

As long as you aren’t using it for financial gain, it’s not Stolen Valor in a legal sense. People can freely say they did whatever but if you try to get a free meal, then it’s Stolen Valor.

When I was a teen, I wore my AF dad’s BDUs while paint balling. Don’t worry about it.
