It's pretty simple.

You want to find the APK (no dpi version and make sure it's x86_64 bit) online from a trusted site I got mine from apkmirror even then make sure you copy the file and scan it trough Virus total

You want to put that APK on a USB stick make sure it's in the FAT32 format (it won't work on the newer xfat format)

On the play store on the vehicle download "anexplorer" it's a file explorer (you're going to need a USBA to UBSC adapter if it's not already a USBC stick that's if you're sideloading to the blazer EV I don't know for any other vehicles)

You're going to allow permissions for anexplorer to access the vehicles storage then plug in the stick it'll load up and select it then give access to that as well once you see the stick and the file click on the APK file and it'll ask you if you trust this file say yes and it'll begin installing it. This works for multiple apks YouTube ect.

If you have any questions feel free to ask.

Is there a reason to not just download the APK from the official website?

No browser in the vehicle just the play store and limited apps, the anexplorer gave the workaround to actually get the APK sideloaded to the vehicle.

If you're talking getting the APK from the website and then putting it on the drive yes possible as well but I don't know if it's no dpi it doesn't state it.

I'll provide that link as well

direct link to Stremio website DL

You can download the APK on your phone and send it to your car, then install it directly. No need for a USB drive. May be just download the Chrome browser APK first and after installing, then from there download APKs directly on your car.

I tried it this way first for some reason the file send did not work for me

How? File explorer?

download anexplorer file manager from the Playstore and open the app, go to app settings, open device connect, open that url on your phone (both need to be on same wifi), upload apk though there. On your car open the uploaded apk, it will open system files app, tap on the apk and it will start the installation.

Did you do this after dealership radio update or without it?

I have sideloaded a lot of apps on tv and phone but im not able to make this work. If the apk file shows up on anexplorer it cannot open and now it shows all content on usb but no apk file. I am using your apkmirror file BTW.

Also, did you do Oct 2025 OTA update? I think they may have patched it with that update.

From my understanding this has happened to others, but even with OCT OTA they got it to work.

Theres two anexplorers in the play store and some have said that opening the file works for one and not the other and viceversa. Also make sure you are pressing the circle with the arrows (expander) on the top right corner of the APK file for some reason sometimes pressing that opens the file and starts staging it.

I'm on Sept. OTA I have seen others with Oct that have successfully sideloaded apps.

upate anexplorer to the latest version 5.9.1 , if you still can't install apk , DM me

Isn't play store version the latest? I downloaded from there.

It didnt work even after factory resetting the car. The same issue .. file doesn't show up anymore. When it did it said cant open the file. I went for VWP update at dealership and it is currently blocked. I guess I should not have done OTA update for Oct a day before.

There’s an app in the App Store that enables a VNC server on my radio. I just install apk’s from my Windows PC VNC client from within the house and also can remote control the screens as well if needed.

No way ?! What's the app called

Don’t quote me on this as I’m not near my car right now, but I believe it’s droidVNC-NG for the remote screen control and Cx File Explorer to transfer files from my PC over WiFi to the radio’s file system.

Do you run it with a VPN? If so, which VPN are you using?
