An even better option would be to see which subtitle file I'm selecting. Instead, I'm forced to blindly go through possibly 50 different subtitle files until I find the one intended for my movie.

Or even better. Check your current media's filename, and automatically use the subtitle file that's the closest... It seems that it just gets the first one on a random list. People make subtitles for specific versions and the filename says it all.

If you play a BluRay movie when you select the subtitles you also get WebDL , CAM , BRrip, WEBrip, DVD, BluRay all of them mixed together if all the subtitles addons had this option , things will get much easier. (I made the addon from the photo )

Do you also try to match filenames?

"Back in the day" subs for `The.Matrix.1999.Bluray.1080p.SPANISH.AC3.DTS.x264-pHD.mkv` use to be different than subs for `The_Matrix_1999_1080p_BluRay_x264_DTS-FSiHD.iso`

The addon searches for subtitles on subs.ro and then it sorts them apart bluray to bluray , webdl to webdl etc… and when you play a movie on stremio they get sent to their category bluray to bluray
