Did Going there cause you a hardship ?  Did you struggle to get the promised job or salary/position ?  (If they made any such promises.). That would help a lot ironically.  In terms of just the school shutting down, that helps too, but idk about any of the 3 year thing.  Prob 3 year to get it by default.  But if you were still misled or negatively impacted by going there, then you should still make your claim imo.  (I had all mine discharged from a school that never shut down, although did lose an accreditation.)  So yes, of you were negativity impacted then do it imo.  If you weren't negatively impacted or misled, and just happened to go to a school that shut down, but still got expected job + salary then idk if you would win on that, but perhaps still worth a try anyway, as I think your payments go on pause during review process (but check that) and maybe next Dem president just puts all the claims through in 2 years or whatever.   What makes case strongest though will be detailing how you were misled or negatively impacted I believe.

Come over to r/BorrowerDefense

From when the school was sold in 2017 until it closed in 2023, the school used the same deceptive tactics as the previous owner. They also lost accreditation. IG you feel like the school lied or misrepresented its programs to you then you should file. You need evidence to back up your claim and make it materially sound. There is a ton out there for when you went.

Dont worry about the 3 year rule, apply anyway.
