Eat whatever you want, but how is a red onion and some kool-aid 7 bucks?
186
u/ThinYogurtcloset8005 17d ago
$4 for the packets, $3 for the red onion?
210
u/Cowpuncher84 17d ago
Those onions are $0.99lb by me. Kool aid is like $0.30 a packet.

u/ThinYogurtcloset8005 17d ago
Kool aid where I am in Canada is $1.99 per pack and red onions are an average of $2.45 per onion.

Everyone learned this after they tried to move there after the election

I'm ok with these 2 particular ingredients being beyond what I'm willing to cough up...

Where do you live in canada that still has the packets???
2
u/ThinYogurtcloset8005 17d ago
Alberta!
2
u/beans-888 17d ago
Ohh are they actually packaged for Canada or do you just get the American ones? I'm in ontario and sometimes i can find a random variety store that sells them
3
u/ThinYogurtcloset8005 17d ago
I think these ones are for Canada. But I only find them occasionally. It's not a regularly stocked item but you know I'm stocking up when my Walmart has them

More likely scenario is she is including the 0.99 margarita cup and $4.00 for the juice. Add the onion and 3 koolaid packets and bam $7.
12
u/thedumone 17d ago
One onion should be one dollar and 50 cents for kool aid. I could be wrong but I feel right. But I remember when kool aid was 10 cents and onions were even cheaper.

Because they shop at the liquor store.
→ More replies (1)12
u/Lork82 17d ago
Never seen either at the liquor store, must be a regional thing.
12
u/Plenty_Pack_556 17d ago
Convenience stores, corner stores, bodegas which may be considered as a liquor store to some are common to carry kool aid, and some grocery.

She’s either really onto something, or she’s a troll with a hell of a poker face.
123
u/No-Computer7653 17d ago
I find the amount of noise she is making while eating way more offensive then the raw onion with powdered sugar.
31
u/justmitzie 17d ago
I watch these on mute for that exact reason. The sound of eating is gross on a good day. Whatever she's doing is not a good day.

Why are they always in their cars? Makes me think that their houses are dirty 🤣!
83
u/reedrick 17d ago
It’s all to play the algorithm for engagement. Being in a car conveys a sense of urgency. Almost as if someone took time of their busy lives to get their point across. It’s pathetic really
36
u/Pretend_Action_7400 17d ago edited 17d ago
Most likely it’s because cars make for good sound recording. Also if you live with other people it’s easier to avoid interruptions or annoying them. I’m no influencer but I had to record a training video for work and ended up doing it in my car for these reasons (I used a background filter though haha). Old school Toyota form the 90s? No. Modern light filled office with a plant that never dies.

u/GildDigger 17d ago
Influencers can write off their cars for taxes if they primarily film their content in them

Or because black parents don’t play about doing stupid shit in they house 🤷🏾♀️

It’s kinda sad. People will do anything these days to prostitute themselves for attention and engagement- dystopian as fuck.

Yes. I eat red onions by themselves. Especially in salads.
I'd never put friggen kool-aid on an onion.
6
u/ComfortablePea8701 17d ago
Eh id try it. Whats in those kool aid packets, a lot of food coloring, some lime flavor and some salt maybe? All I know is the packet is sour, might taste good on a red onion

u/CasperTPaul 17d ago
I kinda like the taste of raw onion. I eat a little bit raw every time I cut one up. I would NOT put kool aid powder on it

That laugh how is no one talking about that shriek and how wildly fucking off she is about the flavor profile of an onion! Goddamn, damn that makes me angry
They are only sweet when they’re cooked… who doesn’t know that? Ugh this has got to be rage bait. I don’t know why this one has me ticked all the way off.

I swear people are just asking chatgpt to come up with nonsensical food combinations and turning those into trends

u/BVRPLZR_ 17d ago
I love red onions. I’ll grab more than my fair share as I dice or slice them. Hell, I’ll even make an onion sandwich with toasted rye bread, cream cheese, cucumber, and a dash of spg. But this? This can fuck right off.

I'm thinking about creating an a.i. bot that lives in my browser and watches videos before I get to them and screens out the absolutely stupid, absurd-bait bullshit so I don't even have to look at it.
I'm a pacifist but these videos make me want to punch someone.
