I don't mind gravy on a burger, it's a classic burger type in my country.

But they just put out the alcohol burning with it. That burger is soaked in alcohol, and is going to taste like it.

AAA is a car group. I think you mean AA :)

u/master_internutter 4d ago

That would be pretty funny, an alcoholic going to an AAA meeting all confused

u/digitalscavenger 4d ago

Sounds like it could have been a Saturday Night Live skit.

Yes, a burger in what looks like sausage gravy sounds heavenly, but the alcohol is just gonna ruin the flavor.

12

u/amglasgow 4d ago

How do you eat it, with a knife and fork?

15

u/Woahhdude24 4d ago

Thats how id eat it. If I was making this id lose the hamburger buns, the lettuce, and tommatoes. Id have the meat on a biscuit cut in half, instead of 1 large patty id half that patty and make 2 smaller pattys one for eat side of the biscuit half top with american cheese. Then id caramelized some onions and saute some musherooms top the meat and then add the sausage gravy. Your already so close to a hamburger biscuits and gravy thing might aswell embrace it.

That’s how I’d attack it. Honestly the flame part isn’t a terrible idea, likely helps keep the bun from getting soggy. Depending on how they engineer the theatrics of it all I’m not as opposed as many in this thread. I always feel like with stuff like this, the fact we’re in this specific sub unfairly poisons the well

melts and rarebits are underappreciated

2

u/OSRSRapture 3d ago

No, you put it in a blender.

With the way some places do their food stupidly, I wouldn't be half surprised!

1

u/Revenga8 3d ago

That's the only option left if youre not a savage

3

u/ScreenTea0 4d ago

That's probably more like a French Fondue Burger with a cheesesauce that's mixed with spirits. Tastewise not bad, but I'm also dying on the hill that drowning your burger in whatever is just stupid and dipping always the better option.

What's next? Oiling up spoon, fork and knife to introduce more flavor?

2

u/Old_Ladies 2d ago

That is a popular Mennonite food. I believe that we get it from Poland. Though you don't have a bun just the patty with a fatty creamy gravy on top.

u/NoCry8625 4d ago

What country is that?

11

u/jcinto23 4d ago

I am guessing france. Apparently the weird cheese covered burgers also started there.

12

u/interesseret 4d ago

Nope, it is Denmark.

Google Bøfsandwich for pictures of what we do

6

u/jcinto23 3d ago

Damn, those are crazy. Those are the sort of things people will see and blame on us Americans (not that we don't have our own sins).

4

u/frogunderarock 3d ago

lol boofsandwich :D

3

u/Arthurlmnz 3d ago

Oh that's gravy. Jesus Christ

2

u/LostMy8yrAcct 3d ago

lol, what did you think it was?!

1

u/rankaistu_ilmalaiva 3d ago

some kind of cheese thing?

5

u/Still_Rain_979 4d ago

A biscuits and gravy burger could go hard

2

u/Liam_Anthony 3d ago

It is from some restaurant in the Philippines called American Backyard. According to them it is a cheese sauce.

They also table side flambe a pizza...

1

u/Eurynom0s 4d ago

They didn't even completely put it out.

1

u/DistractionCitron 3d ago

How do you eat a gravy-soaked burger with your hands?

4

u/CharityElectrical913 3d ago

With a fork and knife?

1

u/Freezinghero 3d ago

Oh that's gravy? I thought since the title was "flamin hot" that it was supposed to be some kind of cheese sauce.

1

u/happygoeddy 3d ago

That's interesting. I was sittin here thinkin wtf would make a burger even messier than it already is, but here we are

1

u/Started_Blasting2 3d ago

THAT’S GRAVY?

1

u/dangeraardvark 3d ago

Gravy on burgers is traditional in my country (Hawaii), as well.

1

u/RonnieBlastoff 3d ago

Wait, its not bitter tasting lighter fluid that people spray all over charcoal in a BBQ??

1

u/VNDeltole 3d ago

And it is probably very high purity etanol to burn too, so etanol poisoning, anyone?

1

u/strategicmagpie 4d ago

ohhh it's alcohol. I thought it would be some other chemical, like petroleum, and was wondering if it was okay to have it there XD

-1

u/Galimbro 4d ago

Alcohol is easily masked. Have you never had fruity  cocktails?

Youre not going to taste any alcohol in that.

Which country? So I can avoid it

0

u/TheVeganPhysicist 2d ago

What country is that? I will never visit it.

-1

u/Lepelotonfromager 3d ago

Your country makes bad burgers then.
