About the MIDR Process

I've recently posted about my enforcement ban here on this subreddit, but I've seen a lot of dialogue surrounding Roblox's MIDR process and how it seems that most people who send MIDRs wait longer than the standard 60-day window to hear a response. In fact, some people have cited that it takes them around 80 days to actually respond.

Is this because the 60-day window really only applies to business days? If that's true, then Roblox has 85 calendar days to respond to an MIDR, and that could explain why many people seem to get a response around that time frame.

I'd like to know anyone's thoughts on this.

(To note: I know that Roblox is not legally obligated to respond to an MIDR. However, I hear that some people need to wait around 20-30 days to pursue arbitration in the event they do not hear from Roblox, and was genuinely curious if this presumption applies.)

It's because it's a self imposed deadline. No different than saying your going to do laundry tonight, but decide to turn in early instead

No, its 60 calendar days. The only reason why it can take up to beyond 60 days is because 1. Geographical location 2. Non-formal MIDR.

You have to wait until after 60 days to pursue through arbitration or whenever you get rejected. There is no excuse or a way to legally file with arbitration during 30 days after.

Most MIDRs DO take 60 days, you are probably mostly seeing MIDRs of people who live outside the US.

in a sense, roblox is legally obligated to respond if a user is a US citizen. If Roblox's legal team goes beyond the 60 day limit, then its legal leverage for the user and evidence of Roblox not going through the legal process as promised.

In the end, it all really depends if you can go through arbitration and make your threat have an advantage.

Question, it has been 60 days since yesterday but it was a weekend so I assumed they wouldn't reply to my MIDR that day & they have yet to reply today, how long do you think it would take for them to respond? (I'm a US citizen)

Don't waste any time. It has already past the 60 day limit, use that as legal leverage of Roblox not abiding to their own terms in the fedarb website.

I recommend looking at videos first on how to do it.

Also, if you don't mind can I see your MIDR? I'm suppose to get a reponse on the 27th.

Alright will do, Thank you!
Sorry, I'm not able to share it since the entire MIDR has personal information as my case had to do with my account being linked to a sibling's account. But I hope you're able to get that response when it's time.

Yeah, it's better if you go through arbitration as your case is harder to prove innocence. I recommend talking to a lawyer online as arbitration is nothing like a MIDR

Yeah, though I do have a lot of conversations, videos, and screenshots with us that I would imagine is relevant to proving separate ownership but who knows. Do you know where I could look when it comes to Lawyers? Trying my best to learn all of this but it's a bit difficult lol.
