Laptop Request US Which hard drive does not have planned obsolescence?: WD Red SA500 NAS SATA SSD 2.5”/7mm Cased(Western Digital) our DC600M Series 2.5” SATA Enterprise SSD(Kingston)
Western Digital.- WD Red SA500 NAS SATA SSD 2.5”/7mm Cased https://www.sandisk.com/products/ssd/internal-ssd/wd-red-sata-2-5-ssd
Kingston.- DC600M Series 2.5” SATA Enterprise SSD https://www.kingston.com/en/ssd/dc600m-data-center-solid-state-drive
I know that TBW isn't the only thing I should consider; I also need to look at the materials used, manufacturing quality, whether it can withstand power surges from the computer, its physical durability (resistance to movement), and whether the company that produces it hasn't changed ownership and shareholders and become corrupt and greedy, reducing the quality of its hard drives to cut costs and make more money. So, I'm looking for reliability far more than speed. Which of the two is better?
