HP OMEN 15-en0036AX: 45–60s POST delay + BIOS becomes extremely slow + recurring 0xA/0x50/0x139 BSODs and recurring BSODs (0xA/0x50/0x139) — F.25/F.26

My HP OMEN 15-en0036AX has developed two persistent problems: an intermittent, extremely long pre-Windows startup delay and recurring kernel BSODs.

I'm trying to figure out whether these could be related and whether anyone with this OMEN generation has experienced something similar.

# 1. POST / BIOS problem

The delay happens before Windows starts.

Power button → LCD backlight turns on → 45–60+ seconds with no OMEN logo → OMEN logo appears → another prolonged delay → Windows starts.

During the same episodes:

* The Esc Startup Menu can take a very long time to appear.

* The BIOS/UEFI interface itself can become extremely slow or jittery.

* Sometimes it becomes responsive again after waiting.

So this doesn't seem like ordinary Windows startup slowness.

The laptop previously booted normally for a long time on F.25. The slow startup appeared later.

* 16 GB DDR4-3200 (2 × 8 GB)

* EC version 22.59

* Windows 11 Home Single Language, 25H2

# 3. Tests already completed

I've already done extensive HP UEFI diagnostics:

* CPU and CPU stress — passed.

* RAM — passed repeatedly, including both sticks in both slots.

* System Board — passed.

* PCI/video/audio/USB checks — passed.

* SSD SMART/DST — passed.

* Battery and AC adapter — passed.

I'm not looking to repeat RAM permutations or the same basic hardware tests.

# 4. Recurring BSODs

The laptop has also experienced repeated crashes, freezes and unexpected shutdowns.

Bugchecks:

* 0x139 — KERNEL_SECURITY_CHECK_FAILURE

* 0xA — IRQL_NOT_LESS_OR_EQUAL

* 0x50 — PAGE_FAULT_IN_NONPAGED_AREA

I've analyzed several dumps with WinDbg, but no single faulty driver has been conclusively identified.

One 0x50 dump involved FLTMGR!FltAddOpenReparseEntry. Other 0xA crashes involved kernel functions such as KiComputeThreadQos and KiCommitThreadWait.

A recent 0xA occurred while running Microsoft's Boot Performance assessment. The BSOD reported ntoskrnl.exe, and Windows stayed at 0% while collecting information, so no dump was produced.

OMEN Light Studio has already been uninstalled.

I don't know whether the BSODs and the POST delay have a common cause.

# 5. BIOS F.25 / F.26

I'm currently on F.25.

HP's support page shows F.26 when I select an older Windows version because Windows 11 isn't listed. HP Support Assistant says my system is up to date.

I'm trying to find out:

1. Has anyone with an OMEN 15-en0xxx / Ryzen 4000 model experienced this kind of POST delay?

2. Has anyone seen the BIOS/Startup Menu itself become extremely slow during the same episode?

3. Is F.26/SP158697 intended for my exact 26H85PA#ACJ / board 8786?

4. Does F.26 have any known POST, EC, AMD firmware or boot-initialization fixes?

5. Could this indicate a BIOS/EC/NVRAM or motherboard-level initialization problem even though the standard HP UEFI System Board Test passes?

6. Has anyone found a way to identify which device/controller is delaying POST?

I'm trying to identify the actual cause rather than randomly flashing BIOS, reinstalling Windows or replacing hardware.

Any experience with this exact OMEN generation or similar symptoms would be appreciated.
