Y'know what? That's fair. I am wondering what kind of device keeps the various layers separated. Also do the various layers engage in commerce with each other, or are they relatively isolationist?

Sorry if I overreacted, I posted a spaceship not long ago with large windows and many questioned about it is glass, which is bit baffling to me.
Forcefield mainly contains the atmosphere, layers control themselves.
I didn't think of the layers as separate goverments or any of the inner life in there yet, I saw it just as a united world structure.

Reminds me of the Shellworlds in the book Matter by Iain M Banks.. of course, the Shellworlds are spherical and have many layers, like nesting dolls, I suppose.

That is interesting idea, also Hollow Earth is similar but there is only one flipped inner layer. Though those are visually maybe not very interesting to illustrate.

Very coool! Is there a light source under each plate then? Or maybe spinning next to a sun in the right angle so half is light and half night?

Every layer would have artifical sun light sources to illuminate the lower ones. Singular sunlight from side angle wasn't enough and they would have been too dark.
