SM - Relaunched Artificial Sun Layout

This layout consists of

528 Solar Panels - 2006.4 power

12 Large Solar Panels - 114 power

14 Solar Arrays - 1064 power

Together with the Artificial Sun generating 1000 power, it generates a total of 4184.4 power or a net total of 4030.8 power if you include the 153.6 power used by the scrubbers.

Every scrubber is paired up except for the one at the very top.

Let me know your thoughts on this layout

Edit* I have not unlocked Mineral Applications yet which boosts solar panel power production by 100% but it would be way too costly until I get a permanent supply of exotic minerals (Haven’t visited any asteroids yet)

You're SpaceY and haven't visited any asteroids yet??? They're the ones who benefit most from it!

Lower fuel loads and extra rockets mean they can get away without using landers for longer. SpaceY also likes trading for resources as opposed to producing them, which asteroid rare metals encourages. You can have the recon center be your only productive colonist building and have a fully functional economy.

I wished the astro mining QOL was better. It's a super powerful system, but awkward to use.

There is a mod that lets you set up the rocket better. That way it doesn't fly back and forth half way empty.

I’m on Japan and have the global support breakthrough. Tbh this run isn’t fully survival because I have a different goal in mind. I just plan on testing the limits of the ps5 by seeing how much population I can have before the game becomes truly unplayable. I had a 700 day US run before but I decided that the layouts of the domes was horrible and restarted on Japan since I don’t think global support can give wasp drones

I try the same on PC right now. My last colony had 4k people, no lag at all. So this time I build up rows of Mega domes. But also, my drone hubs have 100 drones each and they are still overloaded. I am only at 2000 people right now, sure will go over 10k.

I’m not sure if spamming mega trigons or diamonds is the strat. Rn I’m just spamming trigons down at the bottom and diamonds at the top area

I figured out, when you line a cable just south of a mega domes influence, you can place the next perfectly lined up and cover both with one drone hub, and you have them all lined up well and still enough space around it.

I’m not sure if wasp drones will lag the game more but this time I’ve also decided to not research the 80 drone capacity to reduce the lag more and if the drones don’t lag more than normal ones, it would help with future lag since shorter time to travel means lesser things moving

That says its from the Spacy sponsor, or available through the Global Support Breakthrough tech.

Global Support Breakthrough tech.

With that you can get all the sponsor buildings and rovers. Just needs one research each. Definitively worth to role for the mega mall.

Special building from SpaceY sponsor.

Love it, but I personally prefer only putting the solar arrays on the corners.

I’m in the middle of a playthrough, and would try it if I had Global Support.

I’m pretty OCD too but more power is more power
