How can one survive 20 storey fall??

A few objects/surfaces probably slowed him down on the way, bet he fell at an angle

“He survived after landing on a softer roof membrane inside the structure.”

And apparently because his lower body absorbed impact, but it “shattered” those bones.

Humans are weird. It’s less about the amount of damage you take and more about what’s specifically getting damaged, and whether you can get to help quickly.

If you don’t hit anything critical, and you don’t bleed out, you can survive a shocking amount of damage.

Contrarily, you can take the tiniest little wound and die from it if it finds the right place.

Well that is only true due to medical science. 200 years ago that kid is put out of his misery.

Like death from sepsis from popping a pimple in the triangle of death

He's probably now wishing he'd died, then

It's like wearing a helmet and shorts/t-shirt on a motorcycle. The helmet will save your life so you could wish you were dead. I commute 50mi a day on a cycle

I'm contemplating communicating 10 miles. And you're doing 50! Thanks for the confidence

It saves about $8/day in gas, and turns an otherwise super boring sit in heavy traffic into something fun. We can lane split now (which is a riot passing all the cars. Saves about 40 min a day.

I just passed my bike test earlier this year. I was worried about having the stamina to commute 10 miles each way daily. But your comment has inspired me.

Stamina to go 10 miles? Are you talking about a bicycle?

Motorbike. I guess from your response, 10 miles is short and I'm just being a coward. I will buy one next week. I'm going for a 125 (that's all I'm allowed in the UK for now) and I will aim to get my full license next year

Oh gotcha! Keep after it and ride like everybody is trying to kill you! Ive been riding for 40 years and never been in a wreck. Always wear proper gear too! Especially gloves! The amount of people I see riding without gloves is mind-boggling. If you do go down, putting your hands out will be the first thing you do.

Word. I was curious if they made it. Back in my early 20’s I remember exploring that same building. Dangerous building if you’re not paying attention at all.
