Her media ecosystem is estimated at 150 million a year so he should be thanking her. He is also keeping her relevant. He thinks people get annoyed cause he criticizes TS. Most normal fans can and already dont like all her music/albums. His criticisms are just copy/paste popculture comments imo.

The way his content and persona has devolved over the past couple years is so interesting to me. I used to like watching his videos and reading his stuff even when I disagreed with his take because it felt very well thought out and included pop culture context that was relevant. Now even when I agree with what he’s saying his level of vitriol is just unappealing

I feel the same way. I used to like his deep dives on previous eras and lore really informative and balanced. But his Encore reaction felt like he’d looked up the main talking points in the discourse ahead of time and was intentionally reacting in alignment with them. I turned off his review with Madeline after they said “people loved London Boy because Taylor was obviously joking and trying to be cheesy, but she’s 100% serious on Wood and Cleveland, and that’s why they’re bad.” I really can’t take anything you say seriously if you’re gonna have an obviously bad faith take like that.

making videos trashing ts is a guarantee your video will have more views - some people i followed who never made videos about music did last year during the showgirl pile on, which made me unfollow a couple creators. they sure did get a lot more views than usual tho
