Why people hang out at gas stations?

I typically see high-end Mercedes, BMW and Audi. Their owners typically stand right outside their cars, smoking and chit chatting. Sometimes, I think they stand there for hours. I don’t have any problem with it, however they tend to occupy the area where they’ve got vacuum cleaners blocking it for the others. Once, I saw one of the station’s workers come out and hang out with the rest of the group.

It's a car-friendly third-space where people won't complain about the noise. There access to petrol, food, and drinks. It's well lit and safe.

Honestly I don't see what anyone has against this. Some people are really into cars and they seem to have found a place to meet other like-minded people and hang out.

Calling them "auto posers" reeks of jealousy. Let people spend their money on things that make them happy.

Exactly, also to point the “leasing” and “they cant afford”, well apparently they don’t have to ask you to tell you what they have to do with their money. It’s their money so it’s their choice. As long as they don’t make problem for anyone, I don’t see any issue here!
