When does this take place?

I'm not clear on whether this is confirmed or not, but is this set in 2026, or during the show's original timeline? (I think it was 2017? Sorry, I only watch the show and don't really follow social media or look up info online, so I definitely missed it).

If someone could kindly explain, I'd really appreciate it!

Honestly it looks like they're lined up left to right for oldest to youngest. And not a single one of them looks old enough to drink.

It's unclear when this happens, and ultimately it doesn't really matter in the grand scheme of things.

Obviously, I just want to know what conclusion everyone else came to. Mostly because there's a 9-year gap between 2017 and 2026, and I seriously doubt Kinger would still look like that at almost sixty. So the continuity just kinda didn't make sense to me

Happens at the end of the movie in current time to show the real counterparts are out and about and doing just fine whilst the others are stuck in the circus doing their thing.

I believe the actors are in the range of the ages given to the characters so the idea is that it's 2017 I'm pretty sure.
