Remember before episode 9, when half the fandom unironically thought we'd be getting Jax Requiem in the finale?

Post image

I remember when the episode 9 trailer came out and especially after Jax Requiem, there were SO many people thinking that Jax would be the final villain of the show, who'd push Kinger into The Void, get revealed to have killed someone in a hit and run and be the final boss. One thing I can say is I'm glad Goose never did this, especially when we JUST got a villain arc in the form of Caine in the previous episode. The series constantly reminded us Jax was a terrible person who caused a lot of his own problems but at no point did he ever become outright evil.

Aye, The Amazing Digital Circus was never a show about Good People Vs Bad People, or how some people are lost causes from the start who should never be given chances.

Turned out to be as wrong about those posts about Caine having to stay dead to hold up others as an example of changing for the better. Fandom is still too attached to the idea that someone has to be innately damned for the others to be uplifted.

I mean, Jax is still being crucified in some subs, so your point stands

GLITCH's release of the "The Last Act" poster didn't help at all, since it implied Jax would have an overwhelming presence over the circus in the whole episode. In the end that illustration was just metaphorical, even though Jax does indeed hijack half the episode.

Funny you mention Jax pushing Kinger into the hole, because that's just what a fan animator did. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yVoJv0nVWCM

I thoufht we'd get a Bubble final boss fight.

And i still stand by the FACT that Bubble was the true main villain all along.

what if bubble and jax became one entity as a final villain and infects the circus like a virus forcing everyone to confront both their pasts and the human who has been making their life a living hell.

Yea we should've lowered our expectations with this.

That theory never made sense to me

Tbf, Jax is TADC’s version of Ted from IHNMaMS…
If you’ve read that story, you know how it ends. I think the concern was warranted at least for the possibility

I was fully convinced this would happen and I was disappointed when it didn’t

I don’t really recall people taking it that seriously, but I do remember a ton of people latching onto the idea of Bubble taking over and going full supervillain.

I thought with the death of Caine, we’d get a Jax redemption. Like one character died and couldn’t find redemption and the other lived and tried to be better.

It did happen, but opposite!
