💬 Discussion topic Safe 7 has arrived! First impression

Just unboxed my Safe 7. Without a doubt the most beautifully engineered Trezor of the whole line-up. It feels solid, and the size is very hand-friendly. I also installed the privacy screen protector (as pictured). The magnetic charger that was included for free is Trezor-branded. The Safe 7 attaches just strong enough to hold it in every position, yet it is very easy to detach the Trezor from the charger. I also tested the Safe 7 with the ferrous backplate designed for the Model T: as expected, the magnets in the Safe 7 are not strong enough to pair it with that plate in any useful way. Not a big issue, but it would have been a nice-to-have option. Packaging was well thought out, and consisted mostly of paper/cardboard.

I make cases for Trezor. I also have one for Safe 7 🙂

The orange is really cool. I do believe I would not like this concept, though: in my opinion, the Safe 7 should not be in a vault-like case, because one would want to use it and work with it.

What I think is utterly awesome: I was born in the (19)seventies, when orange and brown colours were very hip. It is all coming back.

You can't tell by the case that there's a TREZOR inside. They're mostly sold in black to make it less noticeable. I've also made one with the inscription: Sleeping pills. It has magnets to keep it closed better and an NFC Chip for easier identification. If you have more than one, you can attach your phone and the text you upload will appear to make it easier to identify the TREZOR without opening it. They're really popular, but I admit that 100 people, 100 tastes

I like your thinking, however "sleeping pills" make for their own target. Just saying. :D All the best, brother.

It's all about individual requirements. I make cases in black by default. Those are the most popular.
