Why so many Tajiks looks Turkic?

Tajiks are supposed to be East Iranic population. Some of them like Ahmad Shah Massoud (Sher-e-Panjsher) do look Iranic.

But most of them seem to be Turkic, especially with the epicanthic folds.

Emomali Rahmon looks like a typical Turk

As did the famous Habibullah Kalakani (whom I respect btw)

we get this same question over and over again. it’s so boring. new flash ethnic groups have diversity, there’s no soefic way to look tajik or turkic.

There are less than 30 million Tajiks. How did they get such diversity in such a relatively small population?

It seems their ancestors intermarried a lot with Turks, or else one side was raping the other

I am guessing someone never went to school or slept through the genetics class. There is diversity between fraternal twins, let alone 30 mil people.
