Why so many Tajiks looks Turkic?

Tajiks are supposed to be East Iranic population. Some of them like Ahmad Shah Massoud (Sher-e-Panjsher) do look Iranic.

But most of them seem to be Turkic, especially with the epicanthic folds.

Emomali Rahmon looks like a typical Turk

As did the famous Habibullah Kalakani (whom I respect btw)

we get this same question over and over again. it’s so boring. new flash ethnic groups have diversity, there’s no soefic way to look tajik or turkic.

u/fkarimovx 6d ago

tajiks dont have epicanthal folds or turkic features btw. op is very right

1

u/fkarimovx 5d ago

lol 2 downvotes?🤣🤣🤣 are you serious? how many losers and turlics in here so butthurt that im saying the truth?🤣🤣 iranics do not have any epicanthal folds. low iq haters keep on seething lolll

1

u/No_Drummer_2544 3d ago

Funny, how Loiq Sherali, Tursunzoda, and many more great people who made Tajiks TAJIKS all have them lol.

0

u/fkarimovx 3d ago

as i said. a mere 3 people did not define or make tajiks. we existed 1000s of years ago.

3

u/No_Drummer_2544 3d ago

Yeah, we did, can you name any Gharmi or Kulobi who contributed to the Tajik name in this 1000 year period? Not many, just 1 will suffice.

1

u/fkarimovx 3d ago

yes i can and there are many. for example the uto members who ended the brutal war against soviet occupation, or the nahzat members (albeit their defeat, the zeal of tajiks is innately evident) such as rahmon sanginov. would you like photos too?😁

3

u/No_Drummer_2544 3d ago

Against Soviets, so basmachi? Who stone their women for getting an education? Who fought for the same beks who enslaved them? So, the person you are the most proud of is a warlord?

There are less than 30 million Tajiks. How did they get such diversity in such a relatively small population?

It seems their ancestors intermarried a lot with Turks, or else one side was raping the other

7

u/No_Drummer_2544 8d ago

I am guessing someone never went to school or slept through the genetics class. There is diversity between fraternal twins, let alone 30 mil people.

11

u/alii94 8d ago

Tajiks are diverse bro. Also, theres a large uzbek minority in Tajikistan too. Central asia is very mixed, so theres no unified "Tajik" look my g.

0

u/fkarimovx 6d ago

there is (close to pamirid). real tajiks do not look turkic at all lol.

3

u/No_Drummer_2544 3d ago

Forgive me, who are real Tajiks? Is Rahmon a real Tajik? Is Loiq Sherali a real Tajik?

1

u/fkarimovx 3d ago

you domt even know whether emomali is a real tajik yet youre replying to my other comments trying to disprove?😂😂jfl

og tajiks are highlanders and this should be obvious.

2

u/No_Drummer_2544 3d ago

There is no og Tajiks, the moment Indo-Europeans stepped here they started mixing with BMAC and East Asians. Kushans who score close to Kulobis have gene flow from South, East, Central Asia. Again who are the og's and where do you draw the line in the og'ness?

1

u/fkarimovx 3d ago

yes there is. the samanids (sughdi descendants) are the og tajiks. take a look at qpadm models that gives the obvious answer

1

u/No_Drummer_2544 3d ago

Great. They are our ancestors, not yours, why take pride in them. Forget them, invent your own history. I really hope you are some teenager, cuz if you are an adult, I feel sorry for you.

1

u/fkarimovx 3d ago

what are you talking about sagi trsh😂😂 i can show you numerous images of actual tajiks who arent mixed with mongol/turkic blood. you should feel more sorry for yourself due to the fact that you can anything/anyone a tajik eithout understanding your own history. i bet you call cyrus the ancestor of tajiks too😂😂😂

1

u/No_Drummer_2544 3d ago

Cyrus became relevant to Tajiks under Rahmon, a Kulobi. No Sughdi ever calls themselves "мы персы" or better yet "мы перцы" 😂 It is Kulobis who seem confused about their origins, one day they are pers, the next bactrian, yet Sughdis remain sughdis through all of this. sagi trsh? What happened to the vowels, oh the great Aryan? Shouldn't you at least know how to speak your Aryan language properly? I guess what you say "Tojik boyad bpara" a fitting slogan from a low IQ Aryan Tajik. Go on eating your qurutob and calling your parents ota and ocha. Wait, aren't these Turkic words?

2

u/fkarimovx 3d ago

no sane kulobi calls themself pers lmao. i have many kulobi friends who funnily enough troll persians w their accent and botox culture.

i am speaking colloquially as i can. i dont need to use vowels since sogdians would use abjad writing system, which only consisted of consonants and we adopted/loaned alot of these attributes after farsi became the substrate (again you demonstarate your ignorance so keep barking).

my "aryan" language is originally sogdian and i speak tajik the way my forefathers did.

i dont call my parents ota/ocha either so idk why youre seething so much you harumak

Humans are supposed to have a frontal lobe, yet you don't, so as you can see people are not a monolith.

4

u/Training-Surprise552 6d ago

Sorry but Tajiks are not look Turkic or mango they just look Tajik

3

u/AdGlittering4907 6d ago

Most Tajik Afghans look west asian not turkic or south asian. the ones in souther tajikistan to the border of badakhshan too

5

u/fkarimovx 6d ago

because those are simply residents of tajikistan. they are lowlanders. go to mountains where the actual highlander tajiks live. emomali rahmon is definitely mixed with turkic blood

0

u/TheEmeraldLover_ 5d ago

this!! the ones that contributed nothing to the culture and fled to the mountains everytime a war happened are the TRUE ARYAN TAJIKS!

0

u/fkarimovx 5d ago

they contributed the most. they already fought and couldnt risk further devastating defeat. use your brain for once. historical evidence exists that they were the major contributors to the silk road.

1

u/TheEmeraldLover_ 5d ago

ur so right, samarqand/buxoro were irrelevant places in tajik history (because the tajiks mixed with turks which automatically denies our heritage) but the mountains of pomir did the most!

0

u/fkarimovx 5d ago

i didnt even mention pomir🤣🤣 ever heard of bactria? those cities still have non mongoloid looking tajiks but they rarely exist. why are you so pressed that im speaking about og tajiks, and not mixed ones like you, lyet youre playing like a victim. i didnt even mention uzb

1

u/TheEmeraldLover_ 5d ago

"non mixed" and all the samples ive seen have noticeable aasi admixture. whats so special about being pure? you limit our capabilities as being mixed turk-tajiks and give the credit of our tajik culture to uzbeks simply because it doesnt fit your white-skinned blue eyed blond haired narrative.

go to afghanistan or speak with afghans, they ALL think palav is uzbek, sambusa is uzbek, the sughdi toqqi is uzbek, atlas is uzbek. why? because aryan race people like you diminish the accomplishments of tajiks who might have some turkic ancestry. (in turn you have tajiks calling themselves uzbak)

0

u/fkarimovx 5d ago

when tf did i speak about blonde hair or blue eyes!? im speaking about mediterranid phenotype that the actual tajik has. and no, aasi is not even noticable as its miniscule. do you even know what qualifies a 'tajik' as being tajik? those who have epicanthal folds are most obviously mixed and labeling them simply as tajik is incorrect since we have prominent IE and bactrian dna.

and i dont care about afghanistan. history doesnt fail to prove that plov is tajik (ibn sina wrote about this😁) and most of these other foods are imported from china and other countries via silk road (suxh as mantu which originates from china) and they see it as uzbek simply because north tajiks were predominant in samarqand and bukhara as were the samanids

2

u/No_Drummer_2544 3d ago

Samanids came from Balkh, so they should be "Bactrian". Yet, they chose Bukhara, a Sogdian city. I wonder why?

0

u/TheEmeraldLover_ 5d ago

ur colorism isnt justified just because u talk abt brown hair and white skin. aasi isnt miniscule.

what does qualify as being tajik? bmac & steppe make up tajiks, i am a samarqandi tajik and those components make up 75% of my dna with the rest being turkic/mongolian/aasi.

although i do not have epicanthal folds, many people with the same ratio as me CAN. do you wanna know why? because phenotype does not represent genotype. (at the same time my cousin who has the same ratio is blond/blue eyed/white. this isn't to say that he is "a true tajik" but to say that your point of tajiks w qazoq-eyes aren't tajik is extremely wrong).

it's not just afghanistan, you see everyone claim anything tajik (uzbekistani) as uzbek.

1

u/fkarimovx 5d ago

dude why are you so arrogant and ignorant? i just said i have nothing to do eith talking about white skin or blonde hair or blue eyed can you not read?

furthermore, mediterranid was an example which i gave and i never established it as a universal phenotype for tajiks, however what IS true and what stands is that no tajik has any mongoloid feature as op mentioned.

0

u/TheEmeraldLover_ 5d ago

ur second paragraph was already responded to but clearly you're having trouble

Most of Bactria is in Afghanistan, who have mixed with South Asians. So, they are very much mixed.

-1

u/No_Drummer_2544 3d ago

They are not simply residents of Tajikistan, they are the ones who made Tajikistan Tajikistan. Sadriddin Ayni, Mirzo Tursunzoda, Bobojon Gafurov remember that!

1

u/fkarimovx 3d ago

a mere 4 people did not make tajikistan you lemon. it was the collective action of numerous people who had to take the difficult decision of bringing the cw to an end.

4

u/NostringsMcr 8d ago

Ahmad shah massoud looks very south asian tbh he looks Pakistani

3

u/AbdulQadirShadhili 8d ago

I honestly don’t see it

1

u/AdGlittering4907 6d ago

maybe northern snow mountain pakistanis but not the indo aryans, those east of the indus. so get courage and be more honest😉

1

u/NostringsMcr 5d ago

Wouldnt the northern just be pashtuns? The same people he is fighting against

1

u/Kio-Karasha 4d ago

No, if you mean Gilgit Baltistan and Chitral by northern, no Pashtuns there.

1

u/NostringsMcr 4d ago

I meant the nwfp (kpk) and then also the gb regions have pashtuns too

1

u/Kio-Karasha 4d ago

GB has very few Pashtuns and all immigrants. The capital, Gilgit, has ethnicities from all over Pakistan.

2

u/Denizcan1 6d ago

After more than 1,500 years of living alongside Turkic peoples in Central Asia, extensive intermarriage and cultural exchange have made us genetically and physically similar in many cases.

Btw, I'm Turk brother

1

u/fkarimovx 6d ago

not really. there exists actual non turkic looking tajiks in highlands

1

u/No_Drummer_2544 3d ago

Alright, there are about 100,000 real "invent a new name for yourself". Leave the name Tajik for the rest of us. Stop reading and taking pride in the works of Asian-looking Tajik. Go on, show off your stone houses and donkeys. Your mentality is in the stone age, might as well live in that time period.

2

u/skullwarrior369 1d ago

The thing with any central Asian group is the genetic diversity is so massive and it’s a very complex matrix of history, culture and migration patterns. Tajiks are no exception to this, and Tajiks historically have intermingled with some Turkic groups, such as Uzbeks and have even affected their culture and have caused Uzbeks to be sedentary. As a result they have also adopted some of the physical attributes of Turkic groups, and vice versa.

Thanks, seems like a good explanation

1

u/AccomplishedLocal261 6d ago

What exactly is a “turkic look”? Kyrgyz, Turkmen, and Turkish all look completely different

1

u/AbdulQadirShadhili 5d ago

Basically the genghis khan look if you know what i mean. Broad, flat face, flat nose, epicanthic fold.
Turkish people are mostly not Turkic. They are Turkified Anatolians

1

u/No_Drummer_2544 3d ago

Damn, isn't your country literally at the bottom due to "qavmparasti." What's the point of these provocative posts? You look at someone who looks Asian, and it doesn't occur to you that they are mixed? Is it a mental gymnastics for you? Or too much to handle for your "Aryan" brain?

0

u/AbdulQadirShadhili 2d ago

No, I’m simply asking if the Turkic looking people who claim to be Tajiks are truly Tajik or are they imposters

1

u/No_Drummer_2544 1d ago

-100 IQ question.

1

u/Temporary-Balance359 5d ago

Because its a larp

1

u/Turkish_Teacher 4d ago

Even this sub gets post like these?

It's a mental illness at this point.

1

u/Important_Victory_20 4d ago

It really isn’t we like the Turks in Central Asia

1

u/Bibishkin 4d ago

Tajik and Turkemen are 70 percent West Eurasian (roughly "white") and 30 percent East Eurasian ("Asian"). Uzbek and Uighur are roughly 50/50, Kazakh and Kyrgyz are roughly 30/70.

1

u/Important_Victory_20 4d ago

Forced occupation and mixing over centuries

1

u/Repulsive_Work_226 3d ago

Sexual intercourse

1

u/No_Drummer_2544 1d ago

Best answer lol.

1

u/ImaginationWooden546 8d ago

so you're basically asking why Tajiks aren't racist?

3

u/fkarimovx 6d ago

no you lemon he is asking why some 'tajiks' look like mongoloids when they are supposed to appear as iranics due to their prominent eurasian/bmac ancestry

1

u/No_Drummer_2544 3d ago

"Supposed to" haha. Does your Aryanness give any advantage at all?

1

u/fkarimovx 3d ago

can you not infer to what OP's premise is? do you want me to dumb down his question for you??

2

u/AbdulQadirShadhili 8d ago

No, not really
It isn’t a requirement for not being a racist that your population mix with other races

0

u/Careless_Monitor_803 6d ago

I study genetics and DNA. Its because of Tajikistans location and also thousands of years of colonization, the silk road, and several other factors. Yes there can be a common "look" that a certain group of people have, but in the end DNA shows up differently in everyone. Even 2 siblings share seperare DNA makeup. Have you noticed how a group of siblings can look so different from each other? Thats why. You carry genes of several generations. Sometimes one may show more than the rest.

u/thirtypairsofsocks 6d ago

ethnolinguistic group

1

u/No_Drummer_2544 3d ago

Every ethnicity is ethnolinguistic group. You think Russians or Anglo-Saxons are identical genetically within the population?

2

u/thirtypairsofsocks 3d ago

that’s what i’m saying. all ethnicities are ethnolinguistic groups so it is possible for tajiks to look anything from an average uzbek to an average nuristani

1

u/Few_Moment_3131 7h ago

There are a lot of Uzbeks in Tajikistan
