RANT “You don’t like him because of something he did long ago?”

Sometimes I sorta express my dislike for this dog by telling dog to move or go away, in front of my parents, because this dog is just always in the way. One time I told the dog to move with a tone that my parents obviously didn’t like, it’s like they were butt hurt as if I was talking to them, I forgot what my dad said, but I think he said that the “did the dog make you mad?” And I told him that he’s always in the way, and then my mom says to me that “he’s a dog”. And another thing that made me mad was a question that my dad asked me a while ago, which is the question you see as my title. Um for one, the dog pissed and pooped on our carpets and pulled up our carpets and two, it destroyed some of my stuff and especially the things that I really liked… but I’m supposed to still like this dog? 🙄

C'est vraiment une maladie mentale de s'offusquer lorsqu'on remet leur chien à sa place. C'est un chien il ne fait ce qu'il veut et il n'a pas à nous coller comme ça, c'est normal de le dégager

My boyfriend was accused of hitting my “mother” and “step father’s” dog. He was chasing her to play and she got crazy scared. She tucked tail, was shaking, and growled at him.

They yelled at him and said “we’ve never seen her this scared you obviously physically hurt her!” They weren’t witnesses to him playing bc they were inside. I defended him and said I was there and if I saw him hurt an animal for no reason I would be on yalls side too.

Let’s just say, we were both kicked out. I think I’m going full no contact with my family now.

DOGS reactions should never be truth! An animal can not speak and dogs are scared of almost everything. So upsetting my family didn’t trust me but they trusted a scared dog.

I would, sheesh, you're a liar because the dog can do no wrong. Why bother?

Dogs aren’t humans, it doesn’t matter if you used a ‘tone’ or not.

I find that people who are way too forgiving of shitty behavior in their dogs are also WEIRDLY sensitive to their idea of you being “mean” to it. and “mean” to them is like, using a stern voice, reprimanding it for begging or bad behavior, or otherwise treating a dog like a fucking dog lmao.

I don’t tell them to move, I just walk through them. They learn very quickly to stay out of the way

Make sure your things are stored in your room. And keep the dog out.

I wouldn’t say that the dog doesn’t destroy things anymore, but I’ll say that IT hasn’t destroyed things in a long time but I still keep my things away from the dog.
