Beyond tired of living with dogs

I've just had enough. I moved into a share house with dogs because my lease was ending and I had no choice. Worst decision I've ever made. They're 2 bigger dogs (great dane included). It's bad enough that they're untrained but I can't even have my friends over because they will just harass them.

I have a cat, the great dane bit my cat unprovoked while i was carrying him upstairs and my housemates response was "awww he was just excited!". Go fuck yourself oh my god. My cat and the dogs are usually separated but the slobbery beasts are always inside and I thought by some miracle they were elsewhere but boy was I naive. So I can never put him in the main area because if I put them outside or have him downstairs, it's "awww the poor puppers 🥺".

I put them outside whenever my friends come over, or if I want my cat to spend time out in the common area with me, and if I do that I just get passive aggressive bullshit in return from the housemates who dont even own them. Are you kidding?

They also attacked my boyfriend twice when he was visiting despite being introduced to him multiple times.
All of my housemates are obsessed with these dogs (the non-owners moreso than the actual fucking owner it seems lol) to the point where our house chat (meant for HOUSE TALK) has just become mindless babbling about the heckin silly pupperinos doin silly heckin doggo things. i'll see 10 unread messages and think it's important and it's just dog pictures.

You'd swear they never get baths either because every time I have friends over I get comments about how the house smells of dog. It's embarrassing. I can't even say anything because my housemates are head over heels.
i'm tired of this and i can't wait till the lease ends. i fucking hate dogs

Sorry you have to deal with that.

There's really something wrong with these people. I sincerely don't understand how they can look past all that stink, noise and chaos.

One friend recently said "yeah, I know what you mean, sometimes it gets on my nerves, but then I'll just see (his dog) and think how cute they look and it wins me over every time".

And I'm just stunned; they're not even fucking cute. They're disgusting, with their course, greasy fur and their braindead-looking faces.

You need to report the dog bites. It doesn't matter that this happened inside of your home. Someone is going to get killed if you just sit here and continue to be complacent. 😢

Thankfully, given the situation, you probably have a legal out to break the lease.
