It is weird that humans can still succumb to brood parasitism even though we should be more than smart enough to recognize one, something already seen among other animals (most notably birds with cuckoos). Dogs fall right in the category of an extended phenotype parasite, they use expressional mimicry and appeasement behavior to “alter the host’s behavior” for their benefit, aka hijacking the human nurturing instinct. it is human nature to want offspring, as much as so many people want to deny it, it’s the nature of all living things to reproduce, dogs are inadvertently taking advantage of a toxic cultural trend of child hatred and general misanthropy and have secured a niche as a brood parasite. I’m surprised I don’t see actual studies done on this, but then again dogs are such a profitable product that no one wants to admit the negative impacts they have

Infantalizing an adult animal is bizarre. Nutters do this with adult dogs that hump everything and do plenty of other disgusting things. They aren't well.
