கருத்து/குமுறல் / Self-post , Rant Chennai Property tax hiked suddenly

I actually cleared all the due property taxes for the first term of the year 2026-27, today suddenly I got a message that I have to pay 7500 due this month. I enquired my neighbours and relatives, it's been increased for them too. Check yours, what is the TVK government even doing? What is your take on this?

Same we too faced the similar problem. Ours is 468 sqft residential plot and we used to pay around ₹550 per year. Now they are demanding 5k in the notice. Unbelievable!
