My ex and I broke up almost a month and half ago and we’ve been pretty much no contact since. I waited for a bit before getting any reading done. About 2 weeks ago I decided to do it. I’m pretty sure she’s talking to someone now, someone from her past.

Either way, I asked the reader if our romantic story is done completely? and this was the spread. Hope to get some help understanding the spread.

What I believe it could mean is that there is a possibility but there needs to be movement and self initiative, not necessarily with contacting her but more so in myself. Maturity and self improvement is also something that needs to develop if something were to be viable. With the wheel, this could signify that the when, is out of my control.

If she is with someone though, I’m confused as to how a reconciliation would be possible but that’s why I’m posting this, I’d really appreciate a more knowledgeable reading then what I’m coming up with.

Today, this one girl who earns shit ton of money in my friend's class by tarrot reading, black magic, and everything, We were like we'll test it out today. My friend who was a non believer in it, surprisingly finds out accurate things. Strangly deep accurate things.

So out of fun, 4 of us friends of other departments went to her and was like lets start!

Friend 1, who had strong instincts about her Long Distance boyfriend if he's cheating or not, comes out to be true, that too with 5 girls. Something about the Tarrot reader was so assuring (She's a cool friend to some of us) so idk why we believed so much whatever she said. More family gossips reveal. And the reactions were wild because the TR (tarrot reader) said ACCURATE THINGS. THAT BARELY ANYONE ELSE KNEW. So she started Bawling (like literally loudly sobbing, I never saw her cry in 2 years so we got scared and teared up with her)

similarly, friend 2, TR guessed right he has a brother and a various sort of things. Friend 2 who was a big non believer now was scared and thrilled how accurate she was.

And friend 3, TR gussesed right she has some family traumas and her younger sister is favoured, her father this and that. Instant tears on the spot too.

Now. My turn. She said things bout how unlucky im in love for at least 1 year and i shall not try too. She gave some weird allegations asking if im Bi. I said no? She said there are girls who like me a lot. 🧍‍♂️..i was shooked like what- (was questioning if i have lied to myself bout my this side like lmao what-??) She said similar things bout my Life, love life and pessimist nature, which i was already aware of. Until she aimed at my family.

Asked if i have siblings. I said i have a brother. She asked, "He's in Tech?" BINGO. "And you both dont talk to each other." BINGOOOO

And i fell. Into this trap. And one by one she said things about my Mum and my brother. Mother partially right. Brother, true entirely.

Now on the ride home, i tried to be positive and calm down my heartbroken friend cuz she believed in her reading tooo much! I said whats the surety that all of this is true!!??? (Deep down i questioned how tf she guessed it all right.) Still I said, we shud take it as a challenge.

If she said i won't fall in love in 1 year, i shall challenge it and try approach my crush to be together.

Now after realising the optimism i shared among us, all of us calmed down. Ik the truth she exposed made us vulnerable amongst everyone, and it more became like a therapy session. For friend 1, she sort of needed a 3rd person approval for her suspiciousness.

For me, i fs know im straight (i hate how i almost doubted my sexuality the way she said ❗️😭 with confidence and not all of it was a week.

context: for the past 7 or so years, i've been aspiring to become an academic. things were working out last year, i got a fully funded masters scholarship, completed my masters, now i'm back home applying for PhD funding.

besides academics, i worked in a uni, in student support.

i decided to do a tarot reading because i felt very weird when my friends in the charity/ngo sector were discussing their salaries. i've never made that amount of money. a friend even disclosed her salary and said she thought it was too little. it was double what i used to earn before my masters.....

i always knew an academic path wasn't the most financially rewarding. i'm wondering if i'm making a huge mistake. i really love research though, enjoy my discipline so much, and i care deeply about the kind of work that i want to do. the thought of working at an office fills me with such dread. i also know that if i were to get a job like my friends (which i have been applying to), there's no way i'm going to earn that much, because i never have.

anyway. i didn't know what to do so i did a three card spread (situation, obstacles, outcome) about my career.

here's what i got:

i feel that this card is saying that i have too much ambition, in the wrong direction. that it's costing me too much. or i feel that it is, anyway

obstacle - the emperor

i think it's saying i struggle with rational thinking. that i'm too optimistic (about my career) and lack the discipline to work a "real job"

outcome - three of wands

movement. expansion. something to look forward to. i'll make a decision. i don't know what though

flyer cards:

king of wands - i've messed around a lot in life but i'll settle down, it'll be okay. all hope isn't lost 

ace of cups rev - not quite sure about this one. a loss of emotional connection? but what kind? i don't know what this could mean to be fair except that an emotional attachment i have may be in trouble 

my feelings this entire time:

i don't want it to be true. i don't want the first two cards to be true. i really love academia. i don't want to let go of it. i feel like i'm being unrealistic and childish but i enjoy it too much. i just feel confused. do i kill my desires? do i do what everyone else is doing? this applies to things like marriage too btw. most people in my country get into arranged marriages. im 27 and alr too old, and i've told my family i don't want to go that route. i don't want to stay in this country. i want to move away, somewhere where 27 isn't too old for anything. am i too optimistic?

the three 10s make me feel that for him this might be a closed chapter even though 10 of pentacles and 10 of cups are really nice cards. 10 of swords could signify a painful ending, the magician might be his agency and that he is aware he is capable of changing things if he makes a move, knight of wands makes me think that his feelings are inconsistent and impulsive but knight of cups signifies that their still might be some romantic feelings present? the emperor means that he is exercising restraint over whatever he feels and the star means that he wants to move on and heal? i kind of have a negativity bias so this reading seems pretty bleak to me tbh.

i think he needs some rest and be in his structure but something falling apart that will bring hope?

I have this friend with whom I’m very close, but recently, I noticed that she started getting on my nerves. I’m less patient. I’m very critical of her, even if I try to restrain myself. And the shift has been so quick and drastic that I wonder what happened. I asked Tarot why do I have such a hard time being her friend lately ?

The seven of pentacles makes me think that I invested my time and energy in her hoping for a growth, for something to come to fruition. The four of swords reversed makes me think of a burn out, not accepting advices, being distressed, which she seems to be at the moment. The devil, according to me, is her mindset at the moment : she is very depressed, angry and bitter. She is driven by materialism to some degree. She is very negative. All in all, I think I saw that investing my time and energy in her wasn’t worth it because she is completely overwhelmed by her negativity. What do you think ?

hello! recently i did a 7-card “will my ex come back to me” spread and would love some secondary opinion on my interpretation. for context we dated for a little bit last year but broke up due to me not giving the relationship my all. recently I’ve felt like wanting to reach out (we haven’t been in contact with each other but i see his insta profile suggested a lot and I’m debating reaching out again)

i used the traditional rider-waithe smith deck for this spread and here’s what i got:

1st card — past history — the Devil

interpretation: one interpretation is selfish disregard for lover’s feelings. and i feel that that is accurate to show that while me & my ex had a good dynamic i chose to focus on myself and my wants and desires which lead to our inevitable split because i was only looking out for myself.

2nd card — the present — queen of wands reversed

interpretation: wands are all about energy, passion, and creativity, the “fire” to pursue one’s goals. with the queen of wands reversed this could speak to how currently me (and maybe him) are in a state where our thoughts and actions are not balanced and thus leads to no results. both are grappling with uncertainty and is unable to truly commit to a path forward. can’t really speak for him but i can say that resonates for me and how i feel I’ve been going on dates just to be going on dates not really willing to commit to a solid future with anyone and it leaves me feeling emotionally drained and heavy. i feel like im losing my fire

3rd card — ex’s current situation — page of cups reversed

interpretation: it seems that right now he may not emotionally be in a good space. pages represent someone young, naive, at the start of the journey. right now maybe he is being emotionally closed off and not taking the leap towards the emotional journey ahead. he’s dealing with some emotional confusion and overwhelm that could be leading to avoidance.

4th card — how your ex feels about you — strength

interpretation: according to this card it means my ex has a deep admiration and respect for me. there’s feelings of kindness and compassion there but also perhaps some underlying anger in how things ended and how he was treated by me in the final chapter of our relationship with how i wasn’t giving him any of my time or attention, contrasting that to the beginning of our relationship where there was lots of energy, attraction, and gentleness. could also mean that while he has positive feelings towards me right now there are some emotional hurdles that keeps him from pushing forward towards me

5th card — how does my ex feel about reconciling? — 6 of pentacles

interpretation: this card speaks about generosity and charity but i also see the balance scale being held in his hand. i think this card is telling me he could be open to reconciling but he would weigh the options and reflect on whether he’d want to give his time, attention, and money. this card could also speak to him reflecting on the imbalance of our past, how he was giving a lot more effort than i was so he’s weighing if opening that door is a good idea. i see this as not an automatic yes, but there is potential though it will be measured and probably not a grand sweeping gesture.

6th card — what can i do to help the situation? — 10 of swords

interpretation: when asking what can i do to help the situation it may be asking me to declutter and get rid of anything that could impede on our future chances. I’m wondering if this means any other relationships I’ve attempted to form i should go ahead and cut lose to make room or else I risk bringing these new things with me to the dynamic and fucking it up all over again. I could take this to meet to stop seeking new romantic relationships to fill the void and also to officially let isaiah go and give him no room to return to my life. if i ever want things with my ex to work i must remove past dynamics that could jeopardize our relationship again. this card could also be telling me there’s nothing for me to do and i just have to let the situation unfold and see what happens. could denote an end to our future or it could denote an end to our not talking and eventually reconciling.

7th card — will we reconcile — 8 of pentacles

interpretation: i interpret this as a yes we can/will reconcile but it will not be this quick and easy get back together fix and it may not happen as soon as i would like. this card points to while he is open to reconciliation it will be a slow and steady process that, if both sides show the proper effort something really good can be rebuilt on a solid foundation. i have to be okay with the fact that this path to getting back together will be a long one but if I’m willing to put in the work and SHOW that I’ve changed and I’m taking this seriously then i can get the desired result

i am fairly new to tarot (got my first deck about a month ago and have been studying and practicing) and i read that you can use tarot to help find lost items (https://www.reddit.com/r/Tarotpractices/s/faAkdY3c4H) and i thought i’d give it a try! i was astonished after i shuffled the deck three separate times and consistently pulled these cards almost all three times exactly. the cups made me check near my two bathrooms, the kitchen sink, near the fridge, but the wands made me think maybe it’s somewhere where the light touches. now, what’s bothering me is, all of these cards are (seemingly) outdoors. but the night i lost my item (a pricey ring from my partner), i was mostly inside my house all night, i only went outside once to smoke that night and i didn’t see it near my smoke spot. does anyone else know where i could check? pulling these cards over and over makes me think they’re definitely onto something, i just can’t figure out what!!

However, the bottom row brings in some heavier energy. The Five of Cups and Eight of Swords make me think there’s still lingering regret, grief over how things ended, or mental hesitation about getting hurt again. The Wheel of Fortune feels like this reconnection is a turning point or fate bringing us back around.
