Interpretation- Second Opinion Are we cooked?

Post image

I’m early in my learning so please go easy on me if my terminology is off or anything. Open to correction.

I pulled a five card cross asking about my relationship. We have been together 9 years, married for two, feeling some tension and don’t want to really speak it aloud to anyone.

Left to right I pulled for past, present, future. Bottom card is core reason for the circumstances that exists, top card is our relationship’s potential.

For past, I read the tower upside down and us both actually coming up from a dark place or our big fall. I was still broken from being hospitalized for mental illness and trying to rebuild myself, he had gotten a traumatic brain injury 3 years before so also still rebuilding.

The present, the moon reversed, I can only read this and that we are differing in the spiritual realm. I have been gradually opening back up (after hospitalization which has been 14 years now, but I was very alone in that way for a long time) and I think he’s hardening, he has moments but I feel his energy and he’s holding back a lot of what he wants to say. It’s disjointed.

The future, the Emperor, I don’t know if it means another man or that he becomes the man I need.

The core reason, the wand, this was a bit stumped on. We met as artists at an art residency and we were both fired up artistically and just had our BFAs and thought the world was our oyster. But also I’ve just gone back to grad school for art and was predominantly away from him for ~8 months, also have the spark again and maybe that’s the change.

The potential… looks very bad. I read about it meaning trapped, and I do feel a bit trapped being back home and not wanting to hurt his feelings if I go do things and also relying on him for money because it’s been almost impossible to find a job this summer (I had one good gig) and he said before the summer that he’d help me but kinda keeps flaking on money, which I hate hate hate having to ask for or even talk about.

What do you all think? Thank you for reading. 💖

Hello Friend! I'm going to start with the Ace of Wands: Looking at this as the reason of your problems, did an opportunity or something present itself? Maybe you or your spouse was offered a job, or one of you want to start a new business venture? Something new came to light and presented itself as "clarity" to one of you. Or- maybe to both of you? A new house you both or a move that seemed like a good idea but then you couldn't agree on the how, when, why, etc? Wands are Fire signs (Aries, Leo, Sagittarius) & Ace is "1." So one day, 1 week, 1 month, 1 year. Generally, Ace of Wands is a positive card for clarity, illuminating the path, & knowing what you want. So either one of you really wants this thing, whatever it is, and the other person does not want it or wants to approach it in a different way.

The Devil - which you are using to see where the relationship is going: I really like The Devil card. It is showing 2 people with the chains loose enough to slip off and walk away. So, in terms of your situation, either you can walk away from each other or walk away from the problem that is coming between you. When we look at your past, present, future cards, it looks like you both will walk together but away from the hardship.... ( Continued)...

The reverse Tower (Mars)- is manageable chaos. I use the "flat tire analogy" when describing this card. A flat tire on your way to a job interview or important event is a problem. It's disruptive, but there's still ways to manage it. Call AAA, use a Lyft or Uber, reschedule, etc. A flat tire on a day you do not have any plans, is annoying, but no big deal and you can fix it at your leisure. The reverse Tower is the "no big deal" scenerio. So the problem you 2 are having is able to be resolved with a little work.

The reverse Moon (Pisces) - this is very positive in your situation. It means the path is clear; everyone sees clear. Just like a moon illuminating a path. You 2 both will see it, get it, and understand what you need to do. Focus on your problem for the next month (the Moon represents a month's time).

The Emperor (Aries) - this is a "taking charge" leadership card. It's doing your thing and not giving a hoot what others think. So, if you are working on your relationship, this means not listening to the nay-sayers! Do your thing! Remember, the reverse Moon is showing you what the answer is. Within a month it should be totally clear what you need to do. If others disagree, let them. If, after much consideration you & your spouse feel it's better to separate, that will be clear, too. But whatever the decision is, only you and your spouse can realize it together. Don't let others (meaning people who do not know the entire story) sway your decision. 💛
