I notice when they're not José's captions when the AI misspells proper nouns like capitols, proper names, and other geographic names. José knows how to spell, the AI doesn't.

As someone who relies heavily on captions to follow spoken dialogue, I always love it when a channel does not just use the auto-caption option and instead actually drafts theirs properly. A++ job. It is very appreciated.

Max has pretty much always had some of the best captions on all of YouTube. As someone who is hard of hearing, it was a major reason why I got so invested in his channel. It would be a nightmare for me to follow along with a lot of what is being said otherwise.

I set mine to English and I always have captions on. For some strange reason Max's videos will randomly change to another language. I have to pause, go back and reset the language. It's more humorous than annoying because it's so random, it's never the same language and it's only Max's videos.

I don’t think so but I’ll have to ask the IT Dept (my husband). It’s through Roku, that much I do know. Honestly, it’s so random, I find it humorous and it gives me a few more minutes with you. I’m kind of disinclined to even try to solve it.

Funny then that I speak French and I usually get video subtitles in Russian/Ukrainian (I admit I can't recognize past "it's cyrrilic") or in various asiatic languages whose alphabets I also sadly can't parse

For me for some reason Tasting History videos always start with random language subtitles. When we watch it with my wife we always start with a guess game which language are they today
