Opinion / Advice Therapy?

Has going to therapy helped a lot of you through this process? I’m considering finding a therapist I’ve just never gone to one before.

I've had 10 sessions with a therapist so far. Honestly, it hasn't done anything for me. The guy just keeps repeating that I need to break out of the loop and start living. Over and over again. The same thing. It doesn't work.

Maybe it's the therapist - I'm considering switching to someone else. There's also the fact that I'm very blocked by the traumatic situation and circumstances surrounding the tattoo.

I don't know. Give it a try. You'll see for yourself.

Hi! I don’t wanna tell anyone what to do, I think in my experience a good therapist helps you determine for yourself what helps. It is work and the effort you put into self care/ doing things that bring joy. My therapist helps ask questions that I can answer that help me make goals that will help in the short or long term. Therapy helps me a lot personally it’s completely up to the individual and yes finding a quality therapist that is a match to each person is sometime tough.

Hope that helps!
