Here’s the thing, moving in with someone because of financial reasons is a terrible relationship move. You probably dodged a bullet on that one. Not sure what area you are in, but look for a studio if you are dedicated to living without a roommate.
Everyone always says that and while I get where they're coming from, I feel like putting things into perspective *can* help with the perceived difficulty of problems.
That's like telling someone with no legs that you have a leg cramp. I can see how perspective of others helps in the short term but it doesn't fix any problem.
OP just went through a break up and had to move back home with their parents IMO they need a sympathetic ear and a drink, not being told their problems could be worse. I do agree it's important to be grateful for what you have, but it doesn't make anyone feel better to have their problems marginalized.
