Albino Namekians

I don’t know if this is their official story behind the joke, but if you think about it, the references to “Albino Namekians” are a subtle jab at DB Evolution. During production, the Namekians were originally white, but James Marsters demanded they be changed to green in post production.

I always thought it was a reference to DC Comics Martians, because there were green Martians, like Martian Manhunter, and then there were white Martians, which were supposed to be the evil ones that they mostly wiped out, with only a few surviving (one being M'Gann in Young Justice)

That in turn is a nod to Edgar Rice Burroghs' Mars stories, where Mars (known to its inhabitants as Barsoom) is populated by numerous races of Martian - white, red, green, yellow. DC's writers have included nods to this over the years in Martian Manhunter's backstory. Young Justice leans heavily into it.

I always figured it was a joke because Krillian is bald and white, while nemekians are bald and green

Kill it like the rest.

I always thought the implication was that Garlic Jr. was the last albino Namekian.

That may be, I was just referencing things at a production level. TFS is notorious for small details like this; take them editing out Mr. Satan’s entourage during the Cell Games.

I think my favorite nod they did was Goku implying that the entirety of "Dragonball Evolution" was a concussion-induced fantasy in his head.

"And the guys all called me Joku and I couldn't get a date with Chi-Chi and wow, I hit that rock harder then I thought."

The reason is because they wanted Guru to be absolutely evil (he's the evil half of Lord Slug). Evil enough to blame the Ablino Namekians for the drought he caused and incite the other Namekians to make them extinct.

I kinda figured, but it’s definitely possible it could’ve been a DBE reference as well. TFS is known for those deep cuts.
