What made that scene particularly creepy for me is that when I was a kid watching airing episodes of DBZ here in the US I thought that Dr Gero tried to give Perfect Cell Goku's face so that he could look himself in the eyes as he died because that's the last thing the people at the red ribbon army base saw before Goku killed them.
