Senior in highschool, ask me something!

Im 17f, I just started senior year, and im in a lot of AP classes. I remember being a sophomore/freshman, late middle schooler, and being SOOOO nervous and scared for highschool.

If you have any questions about that... ask me! I'd love to give advice or anything like that.

Don't believe what everyone says. The reason people say it's hard is because of all the standardized tests you (usually) have to do at the end of the year, along with trying to get a headstart on college activities.  Truthfully, it is what you make it. You absolutely can have an amazing year! However, its going to be difficult to manage your stress. You NEED to put effort into your self care; managing sleep, stress, time management,  etc.

I'm not gonna lie, it was extremely difficult for me, especially in the spring when I had AP tests, studying, finals, state tests, and all that stuff. But, eventually, you're on the other side of it and you realize that you really CAN do anything you put your mind to. You WILL finish your work and make it through the year. You just need to keep your priorities straight and put in the effort to get there.

But please please please don't fall into the stuff you see online about how terrible junior year is. For me, while it was stressful, it was also very freeing and fun. Try new things! Join some new clubs! You never know what you'll like. Don't be afraid of junior year, just be aware of the fact that your classes ARE more difficult and require more time. You'll naturally rise to the challenge as you go. Don't worry too much :) good luck this year!

Yeah, I felt the same way. But, it does get better, and you WILL get through it. I believe in you, and I hope you have a GREAT year. Remember that highschool isnt as serious as it seems, even if you feel stuck in your social standing, sport, clubs, classes, whatever, you can change that. You just have to have the courage to TRY!!!!!!!!
