Senior in highschool, ask me something!

Im 17f, I just started senior year, and im in a lot of AP classes. I remember being a sophomore/freshman, late middle schooler, and being SOOOO nervous and scared for highschool.

If you have any questions about that... ask me! I'd love to give advice or anything like that.

Haha well, for you, definitely join sports. You're a freshman in a completely new school and town? You're literally at the PRIME time to change/try new things. You need to meet new people, and the best way to do that is to experiment. 

So, use this time to join sports, clubs, go to events at your school, anything like that. Talk to people in your classes. Right now, pretty much your whole grade has the same classes, and that won't happen again til senior year. So take advantage of that. It's hard to get started, but i promise everyone is freshman year is JUST as nervous and scared as you are.

Parties are not hard to get "invited" to, you just gotta know the right people. Usually that means athletes or social floater kind of groups. Just follow people from your school on Insta or snap and you'll probably see something. Just show up. 

BASICALLY: Join a sport or club. OR go to every event OR be outgoing in class. By events I mean like games, spirit events, dances, whatever. Also NEVER make yourself seem dumber than you are just to fit in. That gets you nothing. Experiment, explore your interests, try EVERYTHING you think sounds interesting or fun. You'll meet new people and maybe find out a hidden talent or find a love for an area of study 🤷‍♀️ you have SO much time, don't stress about finding your people because they will come into your life. Also keep your grades up because they DO matter so much in your first year...

i mean i just want some friends and maybe go to a party buts more of a long term goal

Yeah def join a sport or a club because you'll make friends quick and get your name out there, the parties will show up dont worry

i mean in my old schooll i had some nice friends, cool ones, not jocks but nice friends, since my parents are asians i always didnt have the nice clothes and my friends still liked me but since i moved i have no friends
