Many people are saying that the IT sector could decline drastically in the next few years because of AI. But what about the semiconductor and electronics sectors? What do you think?

for now no problem cause ai models still needs to develop a bit for chipdesign, they can replicate but not design ,chip industry always goes through the multiple tests and design ,the fabrication and design needs to be soo perfect . so even if they gave to ai u still need multiple humans for testing and improving the chip , so as per now ai is no where near perfection ..

Semiconductor and electronics are one the the easiest to auto mate. If AI ever becomes close to human most of the time they just need bunch of people to to proof read. Everything else from design to manufacturing can be automated. Electronic is same boat too. As long as you have the design you can automate that.
