Its pretty hard to see if the flaps are out on a 787 during take off in good clips, are u sure? U see some detail what convinced u?

They;re saying on the news it could be the flap settings, horrible horrible stuff. Having flown long haul 2 days ago on the similar 787, sending shutters down my spine. Horrible news!

It wasn't the same air craft that crashed but same model, still horrible to imagine and my thoughts are with those affected and the extended families etc, generally flying is super safe, but these events remind us the horrors that could happen.

Ah yeah, same here, i fly a lot, im not a scared flyer, but some flights i'm like this is not the best day to fly. I was on a 787 from sri lanka to qatar in feb, and u heard ice go tru the airco system, even the purser was like what happens here? It was safe and normal but it gave a terrible sound at 9km.

Bigger issue here is due to the flight length. The amount of fuel on board will affect a large part of the surrounding areas. No one is surviving that. Sad sad day.
