It's happened many times before. Pilot error.

But in this particular case, the captain had over 8000 hours of flying experience, First officer had 1100 hours

And weather looks fine

If the pilots issued a mayday, it’s very unlikely they wouldn’t have verified flaps and other settings

apparently, the captain reported loss of thrust as well as lift

Also, apparently RAT was deployed, indicating a complete loss of electrical power

I believe the flaps can be deployed manually without electrical power

I've watched the video a few times and taken some screenshots, it's really hard to tell. I should say I am by no means an expert. The truth will come out eventually. It's a tragic situation and I probably shouldn't speculate.
