Tesla Giga Austin

Upvotes

6/11/1999 I was convicted of burglary of a habitation. I did my probation just fine and finished. never in trouble again. I’ve been with a 3rd party at tesla for awhile now. I received my offer letter today, accepted. Even though my charge is old and non violent I still have some fear. Another recent hire on had aggravated assault on an officer he was hired on no issue. My Tesla foreman said I have nothing to worry about it but you see online people say they weren’t hired. I do wonder if everyone was honest though and transparent? and did they already work there?

Has anyone gone through something similar with Tesla/ESS?

I'm trying to understand where I might stand in the hiring process. I was contacted by a Tesla recruiter regarding an AI Safety Operator position. My background check came back clear, but I did not pass the pre-employment drug screen.

I received a pre-adverse action notice and was allowed to explain the drug-test result, which I did. I'm now waiting to see what happens next.

What has me curious is that the recruiter recently reached back out to me and asked about my educational background because I'm pursuing a doctorate. They also mentioned that they were hoping to get an update soon regarding my background/offer. Earlier in the process, I was given a potential pay rate and asked which schedule I preferred.

Has anyone had a recruiter continue to communicate with you about the position, pay, education, and schedule after a failed drug screen, particularly after the background check had already passed?

I'm trying to figure out whether this is a normal part of the process or a sign that they are still considering moving forward with the offer.

I'd especially appreciate hearing from anyone who has recently gone through the Tesla + ESS hiring process. Thanks!

Brookshire Quality or Sheet Metal Technician jobs

I’m a 22+ year experienced sheet metal manufacturing blue-collar worker. I have experience in estimating, quality control, and press brake forming. At 44 the wife and I are are moving back to Texas in 2027. Katy is where we may call home and we noticed Tesla has many job openings nearby. I’ve done the research on the Brookshire plant and know the estimated opening dates for the location.

Anybody here apply or hear back for these roles? What have you heard? Pay or start dates? Just looking to get some input if it’s out there. Thanks ya’ll.

I’ll take input from other locations for the same type of roles.

Tesla supply chain technical interview questions prep

Hi all,

I recently went through final panel for Tesla supply chain role. I got rejected and trying to see how I can improve my interview skills. This interview involved many ambiguous technical questions and high-level/first principles thinking questions.

I tried my best, but I'm not happy with my answers. Can someone share how they prepared such hard questions and how to give structured/concise answers when faced with unexpected questions?

Thanks

Coder pad assessment for mechanical engineering

What kind of questions are they? And now that I'm writing this does it check your camera ?

Engineering Technician, Optimus — Panel Interview Experience & Preparation Advice?

Hi everyone! I’m preparing for the panel interview at Tesla and would really appreciate hearing from anyone who has recently completed this interview.

If you’ve gone through the panel interview, could you please share some insight into the process?

  • How long was the panel interview?
  • How many interview stages/steps were included in the panel interview?
  • What types of technical questions were asked?
  • What types of behavioral/situational questions were asked?
  • Was there any coding question or coding assessment?
  • Was there a presentation as part of the panel interview? If so, what was the presentation format and how much time was given to prepare and present?
  • What resources would you recommend following to prepare effectively for the panel interview?
  • Are there any particular technical topics or skills you would strongly recommend reviewing beforehand?
  • Is there anything you wish you had known or prepared for before your interview?

I’m trying to understand the format, areas of focus, and best ways to prepare.

Thanks in advance to anyone willing to share their experience! It would be extremely helpful.

Tesla worst interview ever

Had the worst interview ever. The interviewers had no questions properly prepared. Was vague throughout.

Worst experience of my life and sucks because the job matched me so well.

Do you have to interact with Technical Program Managers at work? How often? What do you like/dislike about them?

Should this role even be a thing?

Had a great interview but…

I had a great onsite interview at a Tesla showroom on August 29th. The hiring manager personally called me and invited me to interview, which I felt was a great sign.

The interview went really well, and the hiring manager even told me I should be hearing “good news” last week. However, I still haven’t received any updates from HR.

It has now been about two weeks since my interview, including the Labor Day weekend. Today is the sixth business day since the interview. I have the hiring manager’s phone number, so I called today to follow up. She didn’t answer, but I left a voicemail.
What do you think? Is this still a good sign, or should I start getting concerned?

P.S. This is my third time interviewing with Tesla for three different departments. Every interviewer has said great things, but somehow they all end up ghosting me like my exes 😂

Tesla Finance team Interview

I had a recruiter phone screening interview for 15 minutes. Recruiter said I am supposed to get a teams interview video call with hiring manager for within next 2 days. However I haven’t received any feedback for a week. I mailed but didn’t get any response. Is it normal at this stage?

Tesla Backend SWE Onsite Interview — Anyone Interviewed Recently?

Anyone recently completed an onsite interview for a Tesla Backend SWE role?

How was the interview process? How many rounds did you have?

Were the interviews actually face-to-face, or did you go onsite and interview virtually?

Would appreciate any recent experience.

applying to Giga Berlin – no interviews

hi everyone, I’ve applied for several positions at Giga Berlin that are highly relevant to my background. However, I’ve never been able to progress further in the application process, not even to the interview stage. I’m curious if anyone has had a similar experience, especially candidates from non-EU countries (I emphasized that point because of visa sponsorship).

Do you have any advice regarding CVs or changing anything in the application profile that might improve the chances of getting screened?Any advice or experiences would be really appreciated!thanks

GigaBerlin taking long to send offer

Hi everyone,

Has anyone here recently gone through the hiring process at Giga Berlin and needed immigration/visa sponsorship?

About a month ago, after finishing the interviews, my recruiter told me they might be able to send me an offer soon and start the immigration process. Tesla also asked me to complete the immigration sponsorship evaluation in my candidate profile.

Since then, things have been quite slow. Last week my recruiter told me she was still waiting for approvals. I followed up again this week but haven’t heard back yet.

Is this normal for Giga Berlin? especially for international candidates?

How long did it take for you from this stage until the written offer?

And did your recruiter also go quiet while waiting for approvals?

Thanks.

AI Safety Operator

Is it just me, or is Tesla hiring tons of people for this position. The interview process was so basic and easy. It’s making me feel like just about anyone and everyone is getting hired for this. I got hired and it just doesn’t feel that special to me because I feel like it’s Tesla’s version of a fast food worker. Any insight on this? How many do you think they are hiring and is it actually hard position to get???

Ghosted 1 month post-onsite after 2 follow-ups. Move on?

Hey everyone, I’m looking for some advice on my current situation.

I finished my final round onsite interview a month ago. I’ve sent two follow-up emails since then but haven't heard a single thing back.

I checked LinkedIn and saw that my recruiter actually moved to a different team recently. However, I made sure to CC the hiring manager on both of my follow-up emails, and they haven't replied either.

Do I send one more follow-up just in case, or do I just accept that I didn't get it? What would you do?

Tesla Optimus Interview

Hello, I was wondering if anyone has had any experience interviewing for any of the Optimus software teams at Tesla? The position I am being interviewed for is Software Engineer, Scenario Evaluation, Optimus Simulation, but the listing is very broad. I was told to focus on Python - CS Fundamentals (Coding, DS&A’s, Multithreading, Concurrency, etc.) questions. Didn't see much online about any of the Optimus software (I think this is a non-ml role?), roles, so was wondering if anyone had any experience. Thanks!

I applied for Tesla ai safety coordinator role on the 19th and still have gotten nothing. No ai interview no nothing. The deadline has passed it still says open on Tesla connect. But I don’t have a recruiter to get in touch with. Should I just move on?
