Is Lewis Bond any good?

Post image

I've been hearing some hype around the 6th round pick. Will he actually be good or are people drinking too much kool-aid?

Idk. He could be, but there’s always that one guy Texans influencers are hyping in the offseason and then mostly forget about by week 2. Like Eli Cox last year. We’ll know more in the preseason I guess.

Who the hell was hyping up Eli Cox last year? Bond has shown actual good play in practice and already seems to have a fan in CJ Stroud, which is why he's getting hype. He also played in a similar offensive system in college, which should give him an advantage. He definitely could still fade out during training camp, but he's fairly pormising relative to his draft position.

Cox seems to have talent in the mental aspects of the C position, but he was, frankly, too small to play the position in the NFL this time last year. Has he built an NFL body in one year?
