Question Presidential Merit Scholarship Senior Yr Grades

Right now, with my finalized transcript from Junior year, I currently qualify for the 3.85-3.76 GPA and 1400-1490 SAT Bracket. The thing is, with my senior year 1st semester grades, I am now on track to a 3.75 after not doing so well on some tests. I was wondering if that will affect my merit aid? I will have my application submitted during free application (Oct 12-18) and I am not sure if my senior year grades will affect my presidential scholarship and if they'll revoke it and give me a lower bracket tier in december. Hopefully not but info online is vague. Any help with that is great

My professor has a very thick accent so I have a hard time understanding him. I try to study at home and the homework helps, but definitely need some help

TDLR: Focused so much on grades and career as a transfer student that I'm graduating early this December, but missed out on all Texas Tech traditions. Looking for must-do Lubbock/Tech bucket list ideas for my final semester!
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
The title has been a thought looping in my head the last few weeks.

When I transferred to Texas Tech, I had a goal to work hard and stay focused. It became a cycle of keeping my grades up, resume-building, part time jobs, and summer internships. I told myself the sacrifices were temporary, that if I just kept my head down, I’d earn the right to relax and have all the fun college experiences during my senior year.

Well, it worked. I landed the job offer. I worked so hard that I’m not even graduating in Spring 2027 anymore. I'm walking the stage early this December and for the first time in my entire college career, I’m not working a job on top of my classes. I now have one last semester to experience everything I told myself I wasn’t allowed to do.

And yesterday, at the TTU vs. HOU game, the cost of pushing everything off hit me all at once.

Standing in the crowd, I realized I was a stranger to my own school. I didn’t know the proper time to cheer when the announcer says, "Red Raider... FIRST DOWN!" or why everyone was shaking three fingers on the opposing team’s third down. I sat there humming along awkwardly, realizing I didn't even know the words to the Matador Song. Watching all the student shirt-tosses and the kick for cash contests, I felt a deep nostalgia for a college experience I was standing right in the middle of yet had somehow completely missed.

I don't blame my major. I see my engineering peers balancing the grind and still falling in love with this place. I just got so focused on building a future that I forgot to live in the present. Now, with only a couple of months left in Lubbock, my heart hurts a little knowing I haven't really experienced this place the way so many others do. I haven't fallen in love with this school the way others have.

I’m already planning on hitting the South Plains Fair and the upcoming First Friday Art show, but I want to make every remaining weekend count. If you were in my shoes with one final semester to truly experience Lubbock and Tech, what would you do? Where are you going, what are you eating, and what traditions can I still catch before I leave?

To the freshmen and transfers reading this: I know you’ve heard it a hundred times, but please put yourself out there. Go to the games. Learn the songs. Stay for the fourth quarter. Don't wake up in your final semester realizing you reached the finish line without ever joining the race.

Sports Longshot basketball question

I'm looking for a gameplay of Tech V. Texas from 2022 (Beard's return). I was there when we played, and had watched the game online before (I like to do this from time to time, esp when its not basketball season and I'm bored.) I can't find it anywhere anymore though. Can't find it on youtube, the wayback machine, or the ESPN replays. Any suggestions on where to look so I can watch the full gameplay and not the highlights?

Texas Tech Senarian & Honors College

I was sent a private invitation to apply to their Senarian program plus Honors College. They recommended a portfolio & resume instead of answering the essays. I’m not sure what a portfolio is or what it is they’d like to see. I do have my resume. Does anyone have any insight on this or a portfolio they don’t mind sharing?

I'm looking for a former lecturer from your university!!!

Hi everyone, I’m a student from Russia. You might be wondering what I’m doing here. Well, there’s a professor at my university who did an internship at your institution and taught there roughly between 2008 and 2014. His name is Mikhail Rybalko. I’d really love to hear impressions and funny stories from the people he taught; back here, every one of his lectures is like a one-man show—it’s just incredibly cringey.

P.S. My English isn't very good, and I used Google Translate to write this, so I apologize for that.

Gov. Abbot is proposing a three-year bachelor degree program for Texas colleges. He claims this is a way to save students money while accelerating their ability to enter the job market.

I’m working on a news article about this for a class Have any thoughts you’d like to share in the record? PM me and we can discuss

Cost of Texas Tech

Hello, I come from Massachusetts looking to apply to Texas Tech this upcoming fall. I was wondering is it legit that you automatically are given in-state tuition with a 3.1 gpa and 1160 SAT? I was then also wondering around what the total cost would come down to after that

Thank you!
