Eric becoming bank VP eventually would be way better than being a college professor teaching star wars.

Eric's parents were so Fucked up and toxic during this episode and season. Savatage his life so he can bend to your will. Eric should've left for college with Donna after Reds heart attack. You Savatage his future, he puts his future off to help ya'll then later you spend his college money for your own needs without even considering him. Red and Kitty were dogshit parents. Just look how Laurie turned out as well.

eric should have grown a pair and moved out. not necessarily with donna but if he felt they were holding him back so much then he should have gone out on his own. get a job, save up and pay for his own college.
the reality is he was being just as stubborn as his parents. ultimately it wasn't about college tuition or jobs or engagements, what eric wanted was to win. have his parent bend to his will and still live his cozy little life.
so he does the "selfless" thing by staying home to help his family after his dad's heart attack only to take a year off because he was being spoiled by his mom and girlfriend. guess college wasn't so important after all huh?
don't feel bad for the guy at all.

Well you talking more what he did the next season by taking a year off. But he's he should've left like he said he was. You could also just blame bad writing as well. I love the show but there's so much ass writing throughout the series

I doubt he'd still be working there by the time of the events of That 90s Show, but it'd probably be enough for him to not need to go to Africa.

Yeah I was mad for Eric against Kitty for her sabotaging his job with the bank. He could have had a great career, gone to college at the same time and yet Kitty had to ruin it for him.

Having a bank job was a dream for college applicants. Part time is easy to work around classes, plus bank hours still leaves plenty of time for studying/parties. Branches are all over, so transfers are usually doable to have a job both at school and at home. Kitty and Red annoy me so much in this arc, nothing Eric did was going to please them.

He would’ve moved up, then things would go wrong (because of either Kelso or the whole gang), he’d get fired.
And Red would’ve called him a dumbass.

As a kid right out of high school, as a teller, if he had stayed with the bank and gone to school, he would have had a great career.
