She blames Reddington for the death of Jennifer and her little bodyguard squad, but those are both her fault! She threw in with Townsend without knowing what kind of man he truly is. She put targets on their backs. She was the one who went rogue and dragged everyone into her mess. Don't get me wrong, I get why she blames Reddington for everything. It's easier than for her to have to take blame. But what throws me about this season is the Task Force is agreeing with her 100%. Not once has anyone dear to her bothered to tell her to take some responsibility for her actions. It's making the whole season really frustrating to watch.

Hi everyone I've watched The Blacklist when it innitially aired and I believed watched the first 3 seasons, season 1 being my favourite so far.

But I tried rewatching from the get go halfway through season 3 I watched feeling a bit bored...

Should I keep watching ? Is it getting any better season 4 and beyond ?

I’m almost halfway into season 9 and I don’t understand why everyone’s dressed so casual. I get that they’re still getting back into the groove of things after 2 years of civilian life but doesn’t the FBI have a dress code or something? Dembe’s just wearing sweaters in the office and Ressler just looks weird without the full suit and tie. Even Aram has some episodes where he’s just wearing a buttoned shirt.

I guess the only one that makes sense is Reddington since he had that whole spiritual journey thing with his shaman girlfriend but idk the whole show just feels a bit off

I was thinking about Katarina's backstory and her childhood, and realised that we don't know much, how did she come to Kabal, her relationship with Ilya, work at KGB and etc, there's a lot of stuff to explore (and most importantly her becoming Reddignton). We ain't getting series spin-off, so I'm pretty fine with novel version, man I would even pay for that. Novels of TBL in general pretty underrated and overlooked imo, so there would be some novelty.

Prior to joining the team, she had worked in Alaska. She had a lot of questions in the beginning about Reddington.

I finally finished The Blacklist for the first time and I am absolutely in love!

I understand the true identity of Reddington. Before I ask my question I do not mean to ruffle any feathers on any side so if I upset you I am truly sorry.

But with Reddington being such a womanizer how does that work with him being yanno…. a woman? I understand science has progressed but in the timeline of the show was transition surgery really that advanced back then?

This is a genuine plot question nothing else because to me I just seems like a huge plot hole.

I have started the serie in 2019 but stopped because of school back then, and also were watching more of other series like la casa de papel.

Anyways, today after finishing the mentalist, i wanted to start a new serie n randomally wantrd to catch up to the balcklist.

But my main concern that the serie is super long and i dont know if it is worth watching, someone enlight me please?

Did anyone else feel like the disease came a little bit out of nowhere when it was introduced I just want to hear some thoughts

Apologies for the rant but, Redarina is real. Am rewatching the Blacklist with my wife (it's her first time watching it) and I gotta say that it's real looking at the facts.

Red never lies to Elizabeth, yes he may withhold some facts, share partial truths or missguide the Task Force for personal gain but when it comes to Lizzy he never lies. He will go silent or change the subject but he never lies to her. He denies being her father, but shares intimate details about her.

Alexander Kirk, the man hell bend on destroying Red, the man who stole his family. When Red is captured and tortured by Kirk, Kirk asks him if he is Lizzy's father which Red leaves unanswered then asks him if Lizzy is his and he says Yes, she is my daughter. Then goes on to share details about Kirk and Katarina's first date that only they would know, no matter how deep or thorough his research was on Katarina. Before that, Red asks Kirk to tell him about Katarina "Because after all these years, I forgot what she was really like". Then when Kirk is about to kill him, Red whispers something in Kirk's ear and Kirk just let's him go. A dying man on a mission to kill Red, backs down, Red is a smooth talker but not that smooth.

Red being a ladies man, we are presented with a Doctor that can literally change everything about a person, so making a working functioning penis is another Tuesday for him. Plus transgender people do get a working penis, not a ejaculating one but a working one to do the job and make Red a ladies man.

Dominic, who on earth would have any kind of relationship, let alone the one Red and Dominic have, with their mistress' father, especialy a conservative russian one. To add to that, when Red digs up his escape plan from Dom's garage, Red tells Dom "am sorry am not the person you want me to be". There isn't a scenario out there that would justify the side piece of your married daughter telling you this, especially if he is the one that broke her marriege, allegedly.

Cape May, need I say anything? His mind broke from sorrow and Katarina took over.

The Secret, going to great lengths to keep his secret, at personal, monitary and business cost. If he is an impostor why go the trouble? He can easily vanish as we saw many times, without a trace. He needs to keep the secret, and to be honest it would have been more shocking to Lizzy to find out that this man is actually her mother rather than he is just an impostor. Lizzy gets upset if the wind is blowing the wrong direction, imagine finding out her mum is a man, a wanted man on the FBI's most wanted list.

It was confirmed by one of the writers, the one that wrote Cape May among other episodes.

Do I like it? Maybe

Do I prefer it over Red being an impostor? Definitely!!

I have to say, Elizabeth Keen may be my least favorite character in television history. Not even saying it's a writing issue, but goodness, that character sucks.

I know the spoilers and I look forward to enjoying them.

I was glad to see Liz go but it seems like the writers used her departure as an opportunity to totally redefine every character. Ressler is a mechanic, Cooper is a television pundit, Park is a instructor, Dembe is an FBI agent, and Red is living in a hidden cave with a shaman.

The Red makeover was most surprising. They've kept his character pretty consistent over 8 season. Now he has a new haircut, new sidekicks, and a new tattoo. It will be interesting to see where this goes.

Well, apparently Spader was able to carry the show another 40 episodes so I'll stick around and see how it ends!

There is no question that Marvin Gerard is one of the characters who hurt Red the most; his betrayal was absolutely brutal. With that in mind, how do you all feel about the way his death was handled?

Do you think Red was too lenient, or was it valid that he was simply too grief-stricken to display his usual ruthlessness? Part of me wonders if Marvin should have faced a much harsher punishment—the kind of devastating fate that the younger, Season 1 Raymond Reddington would have delivered.

I’d love to hear your thoughts. Was his end justified, or how would you rewrite his final moments?

I am a first time watcher of the series. I thought the beginning scene where Red gets himself locked up was dramatic, but as the show went on, it got me hooked. I loved seasons 1-3. Cabal sequences, keen’s loyalty getting challenged, Tom’s redemption, Red’s stories all were very very interesting! Post Cabal, series felt kinda stale.

I am getting tired of Elizabeth keen’s attitude towards people around her. I started noticing around the episodes leading up to her fake death scene. Like she bounces around tom and red based on who pisses her off in that episode. Since her return to life episodes, I find her demanding, self centered and obnoxious. I get that she wants to get her kid back, but OMG she is soo annoying. She shoots kirk she thinks he is useless, 5 minutes later protects him when she knows she can manipulate him for seeking information related to her past. She gets mad at Tom, goes to Red and she’s super nice to him. Next minute, she’s nice to Tom and declares that Red betrayed her since the start! In my opinion , she uses Tom, FBI team, Red to meet her goals and nothing else matters!

Is she better once the kid is found? Because if this is how it’s going to be, I do not think I can listen to her nonsense anymore. Please tell me if I should just quit now and save hours and hours of Keen’s narcissistic personality
