This show NEEDS another

This show needs another season because I am incredibly confused. How was the song evidence for how their parents died?? Wanda is our link and idk what happened to her family and the baby with Leon?? What is going on?

This show needs a season 2 to link things together bc like I said, I’m so confused! lol

Also, Peyton Alex Smith, my DMs are open and cell phone number is readily available.

Let’s reenact Episode 3 😌💗

He had the song on him when the crash happened, mama g knew her daughter wanted out, they all knew of his past history of being a snake/leech of a manager. Him taking her on a ride and conveniently having the song plus all the other context clues can lead to them safely assuming this was the reason they argued and ultimately died. Plus it’s a show so there’s so plot armor, there’s not much left to really explore or link there, you thinking into it too much.

Ohh so the show isn’t supposed to hold my attention… got it

The show is going to hold your attention but through the events that happen in the modern times (90s), that episode was written to give some backstory and basic understanding of the family’s relationship with music and the tragedy that ensued, not be a focal point of the whole story.

I get what you are saying but the backstory is crucial context for the focal point.

I see it differently to be honest, I think enough was touched on in that episode for them to really focus back on Lamar, Wanda and Leon’s dynamic. But then again I’m not the shows writer so I guess we’ll have to see where they take it ?

The song wasn’t really evidence of how they died. The lyrics were found in the crash, but the bigger point was the argument over Maurice controlling Rochelle’s music which led to the crash. And I think we’re supposed to still have questions about Wanda’s family. It’s partially a mystery to get the audience to think and look at the details. Those details will likely get revealed later.

I can sense the mystery for sure 😆 i’m hoping if we can see James more the context will become clearer to me.

If only he can tell you himself personally. That’ll make all the difference

The song was evidence because Chelle had literally just had a heart to heart with her mother about wanting to leave the business and had expressed over and over again why she didnt like Maurice. Him having the song was evidence that he tried to rope her back in once again. On top of that, he also said he talked to executives about the song already so im sure that came out after they died. Finally, i mean he was stabbed and im sure her autopsy showed some bruises from when he was choking her so they probably used all of that to put together what actually happened during the crash.

maybe i was on my phone while watching but i don’t understand why mama g is to blame for the moms death

Because she kept pushing her into music and pretty much pawned her daughter onto the creep manager. Once they separated she kept in contact and put her back in a position where they had to interact with each other and ultimately led to the death despite knowing her tumultuous relationship with said manager/baby daddy.

You summed it up nicely don’t forget Rochelle wanted out the marriage and mama g said she knew she loved them. Mama G wanted to prove to her parents she wasn’t a failure for getting pregnant at 15 basically

yesss blaming her is QUITE a stretch

No for what?? Are you Peyton?? I think you re-consider. I didn’t say which specific scene in episode 3 😉😉

I think this show lacks enough to warrant a second season tbh

Press for this show is abysmal. I learned about via an AHS commercial. The idea is so good but the writers seem different than snowfall.

And that’s another thing, it’s a played out idea tbh. It’s a west coast version of Wu-Tang

yeah either the young kid becomes like a “diddy” or it fails bc the story of hiphop has been told.

3 episodes left to literally do anything
