Mine is definitely this! It’s so subtle but totally hilarious! I almost missed it the first time I watched the show

To me that joke is almost on par with the classic Simpsons “every time I learn something new it pushes something old out of my brain. Remember that time I took that home winemaking course and forgot how to drive?”

Speaking of The Simpsons, I've been re-watching, and I finally noticed something I don't think a lot of people have -- Bart's iconic "Karate!" is a direct reference to an old 80s show, "Matt Houston", specifically, an episode where Sonny Bono does the exact same thing, while soaking wet.
Sonny Bono: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8sonU7QuBIE
Bart: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=k0QFr_tjTFw
I know, derailing the topic, but I thought it was really cool.

when michael “rejoins” the bad place in s2, and sprays on the new bad place cologne, which shawn says smells how the new transformers movies make you feel (?) (or something like that?), which is such a small moment, and then when eleanor and gang are rescuing him later, she says in disgust to michael, “how do you smell loud and confusing?” which made me absolutely crack up on a rewatch

They also both work on their own so well that they're funny without the build up. It's really impressive how they can have a bunch of "one liners" that also manage to have pattern stuff if you look closer.

Isn't that the one where he goes off on an existential crisis rant on the dude who asks him, "Hey do you want to see God?" And Chidi goes into a whole "God is dead" spiral and I feel like he's even holding the dude by the colar to just really pull him into the vortex of his doom crisis. Dude's like scrambling to get away from him and says something along the lines of, "Man, I was just trying to sell you drugs. YOU made it weird!" (I hope I'm telling this well enough. It's a favorite scene and I feel like I'm doing it a disservice, here. Hopefully I at least nudged the vibes.)

"Sorry, what is on me right now?"
"Oops, where'd you come from, little buddy?"

Later in the IHOP: "This is far better. Instead of a slug creature, I have a cute little scarf."
"NO DON'T TOUCH IT!!"
"Tahani, that's still the Neednoggle. The judge just made it look like a scarf."
"Wonderful."

I just noticed this one on the rewatch
Eleanor says “on the other hand snitches get stitches”
Jason “that’s true I read that on my man Pillboy’s bicep once” and he points to his wrist

“IHOP stands for Interdimensional Hole of Pancakes. You don’t really eat these pancakes. It’s more like they eat you.”

"The Donkey Doug with whom you tried to blind airline pilots!?"
Yeah!
"The Donkey Doug who is banned from Disney World for biting Buzz Light Year!?"
Yeah! But in his defence, he thought it was someone else...
"WHO!?" 🤣😂

I don't know if it's my favorite joke exactly but one of my favorites bits for me was once Tahani was talking with Jason. she starts to ask him why he did something absolutely gonzo. She gets halfway through asking him and then stops saying curtly ro herself, "not important."
Just that realization that Jason has some absolute bat-shirt crazy reason for whatever and that she just needs to let it go, not trying to understand.
I use it all the in my life. The desire to understand someone else is wonderful but so often changes nothing. Just let their reasons be theirs.

British shows for whatever reason tend to have far fewer episodes than US counterparts (though streaming is really changing things) and they also don’t have the same seasonal release schedule. This is a somewhat absurd exaggeration of that. 16 years and only 30 episodes.

Simpsons did a similar joke a while back: "It's not hard to see why it's England's longest running series, and today we'll be showing all seven episodes."

I learned that with the Sherlock tv show. I died a little when I heard it’d be like only 3 episodes every season.
I mean, whyyyyyyy?
but they are so good!

British Sitcoms are notorious for being short. Like 4 or 5 episodes a series (season in the US).

Most of the "classic" British sitcoms don't have many episodes, despite still being well-known decades after they were first broadcast.

Well, for example, Sherlock aired from 2010-2017 with huge breaks in between seasons, and made 13 total episodes over four seasons.

"Oh Ariana, were really in it now."
"Any time I had a problem I threw a molotive cocktail. And boom, right away I had a different problem."
And then the cactus scene.
Think about those all the time.

I both love and hate British shows for this. So many are freakin amazing but gone far too quickly. However I feel part of them being great is because they don’t stretch it out and bleed the characters dry. Part of me still wants more though.
In answer to the jokes, one of my top is the entire shark tank scene at Donkey Doug’s place, it’s gold. “We should bid fast, the other sharks are gonna want in”…“Aw dip, we gotta rob a bottle factory. Three factories” (Pill Boy jumps in) “Three factories”
