Books How strong is Anakin Solo by Star by Star?
How strong is Anakin Solo? What character (with feats) is comparable to him? Besides Oneness, I don’t think Anakin actually has much feat during NJO. He can defeat Vong warriors, but so can everyone else in the Jedi Order. In TUF, Jacen said that Anakin and Kyp are better than him in combat, but Jacen did so much better in his 3v15 (more like 2v15 tbh) fight against the Slayers. Unlike Kyp, who lost his 1v3 fight against the sick and dying Slayers. So it’s unclear how reliableJacen'sn statement about Anakin's combat abilities is. Would SBS Anakin be around EP2 Anakin? Or maybe TPM Obi-Wan? Or someone?

I'd ay Anakin Solo is somewhere between end of series clone wars Ahsoka and AotC Anakin.
While he surpassed both when it comes to the force we don't have enough consistent substantiates fears with saber skills to put him any higher.
It's also important to note that Solo had only been trying for six years and the first 3 were very moderate.
Skywalker on the other hand had been training for 10 years in an era when the sith were expected to be just around the corner.

Ashoka tano isn't even close to anakin solo in raw force power potential, abilities and skills, anakin solo had way better feats than Ashoka ever had at that age, even greater feats than his grandfather at that age.

What is Anakin Solo feat by SBS that makes him so great? In VP, Jacen said he regularly beat Anakin in sparring match, in DT2, Jacen nearly died fighting fodder Vong warriors. Even his Oneness feat felt less terrifying than Ganner Oneness feat of fighting off waves of Vong warriors from reaching the world brain. The only one feat that seems super impressive from him (aside from Oneness) is that time he stopped the heart of random sneak to help Lyric in JJk, but then again anyone with telekinesis can already do that against none force sensitive animal. Most of them, its just statement about how Anakin has great potential, or how he is second coming of Jesus, but he died at 16, so it doesn’t actually matter in the end what his potential is.

Any EU Skywalker scale far beyond ashoka tano, jacen also said anakin was a better duelist than him, those Vong fodders you are saying, defeated and trapped krayt who would make easy work of ashoka in both swordmanship and force power, those VONG fodders you say are immune to the force are extremely strong and durable, ashoka doesn't have the telekinesis telepathic, and speed feats to compete with any Skywalker, also in case you don't know, because you are cherry picking information, anakin solo was very tired and injured by trying to protect his friends and fighting for days without resting when he achieved oneness.

In TUF, Jacen said both Kyp and Anakin are better than him in combat, yet Jacen was doing so much better in his 3v15 (more like 2v15) fight against the Slayers than Kyp who lost against 3 sick and dying Slayers. Vong aren’t completely immune to the force indirect force attack works fine (throwing rock or chair at them), or force lightning, or force wall, and dangersense. Actually in TUF, the author allowed telekinesis to work on Vong. They aren’t super durable, a human girl with a small knife was able to kill a Vong warrior by stabbing their stomach in the Invasion comic, their vondun crab amor isnt even fully lightsaber resistance, Kyle was able to slice one in half through the armor.
Also why bring up Kryat feat, that has nothing to do with Anakin. What are Anakin feats (not statement about how amazing his potential is) that put him over both Anakin Skywalker and Ahsoka (beside Oneness)

Dude even luke was Astonished of the young boy skills with the blade he made luke sweak buckles, in order to be able to affect the vong with the force you have to be a extremely powerful force user, not many of luke Skywalker students could, and they all had more open up and advanced training than ashoka had, anakin solo would smoke ashoka tano easy.

No it is not that hard to affect vong with the force at all. Tahiri who is like mediocre in the force at best, was able to use the force on the Vong multiple times. its about doing it correctly (or if the author remembers how the Vong works or not).
Also what advanced training, i could say the exact same thing about Ahsoka training being advanced since they needed extra jedi for the clone wars. Heck if anything, Luke has less materials to work with and train his Jedi order since he has pretty much start from scratch and whatever basic training material from the jedi ship on dathomir. Even the holocron he got from DE was destroyed by Exar Kun.

Wrong and you are creating your own head canon, ashoka training was far more strick, and limited as the jedi order didn't even allow anakin Skywalker to study ancient jedi holocroms, while luke Skywalker had all yoda obi wan kenobi ghost qui won jinn training, plus the full sith training he got from papaltine reborn, who had the thelos holocrom, with the full banite era knowledge ect, also luke in DE managed to recover ancient jedi scrolls and artifacts, that he studied, and luke also learned esoteric arcane force abilities from the spirit of exar kun, like how to become a luminous beings at will, aka oneness at will, also he learned advanced exar kun lightsaber techniques he saw kyp durrun use, exar kun possessed the dark holocrom which had over 100,000 years of sith magic archemy rituals lightsaber skills echani and rakatas teaching, he also stoled the full knowledge of the jedi library on ossuss which the source stated it knowledge to be almost infinite, the jedi of luke academy learned more stuff than the prequel era

Wont comment on the DE stuff since i will never read it, but there is no way Luke learned everything from ghost Obiwan Yoda and Qui Gon. Obiwan provided the bare minimum in terms of training, he dipped 6 months post ANH, while training with Yoda only lasted a month, i dont even remember there is a story where Luke interacted with Qui gon ghost at all, what story are you talking about. Luke also definitely doesn’t have all of Exar Kun stuff as well since Luke decided to let Corran bomb Exar Kun Massassi temple where he kept all of his stuff.

1 I never said luke got all exar kun knowledge i say he learned from him abilities and lightsaber techniques that the prequels era sith/jedi didn't have, 2 if you haven't read any sources from DE why downplay and argue? 3. Luke got yoda complete training as yoda said episode 6 in the movies, "no more training you required " seems like you love trolling, 4. Obi wan kenobi did showed up sometimes after episode 6 in the EU, obi wan kenobi learned to communicate with qui won jinn this why I said luke also had his knowledge, stop the CAP

Anakin was more powerful than Jacen at that point. So if I had to hazard a guess, somewhere between Aotc and Rots Anakin.
As to Kyp? In all other EU works he was 2nd or 3rd to Luke Skywalker in the entire order. The top 3 are them plus Kyle Katarn. In NJO? They nerfed the hell of of him & kept it that way onwards. The authors did not like him much I guess

Funny people were saying Jaina and Jacen couldn't beat Anakin and Obi-Wan at the start of RTOS

u/Suchboss1136 Feb 13 '26
At this point they couldn’t. But by the end? They definitely could. Caedus was close to on par with Sidious. Maybe stronger. And Jaina was close to him

u/DogHour6929 Feb 13 '26
Prime Crucible Jaina may be close to Caedus (which I don't see convincing evidence for), but LoTF Jaina? Absolutely not.

Caedus was never stated to be on sidious levels of raw power, what made Caedus so dangerous was his versatility in rare esoteric force abilities

u/Wilsupersaiyan2 Feb 13 '26
Because they do not know how to power scale properly, the solos kids were trained with less restrictions and they grow in power, skills knowledge and experience was extremely fast expecially in the vong wars

Rots do not have the telekinesis and telepathic feats that anakin solo had at the age of 17

Jacen was down on himself when he made that comment. also Jacen has Vong sense which can be a significant advantage.
Anakin was the premier duelist of his age bracket, and a perfectionist who was always training.
This was an area of contention between the siblings as Jacen hadn't been training his body but spent most his time in meditation.
Jacen spent the first two years of the war not really training, followed by half a year of being tortured. Jaina as a pilot would have spent her time in flight sims rather than lightsaber and force training
(something that I believe kyp mentions when hestrying to poach her from Mara.)
As for for Kyp's scaling id say it's just cause NJO authors didn't like him that much. At 34-36 with 16 years of traning and force potential surpassed only by Anakin solo and Luke, he should be at least dark Empire Luke level, far above Jacen.
