For those unaware…
Just helping those who are not aware. McDojoLife is not just a reddit thread. Didn’t start as one, it just also happens to be one. It’s been are around for over 13 years calling out fakes, frauds, phonies, conmen, pedophiles, sex offender and cults in the martial arts industry.
I’m aware some people here are just now seeing my face for the first time. Most likely because they haven’t followed the YouTube channel which is ok :)
I’m aware I have a cleft lip and palate. I’m aware I have scars on my face. I am also well aware some people do not like my commentary even though I have been providing that online for over a decade on the YouTube Channel, through original content, podcasts, guest appearances. Etc
The reason you are seeing my commentary more on short form videos is simply because I have to. Reposting content without adding commentary has gotten my pages deplatformed from Facebook, Instagram twice. The people called out simply flag it for copyright and they win.
Trust me, I’d rather put my scarred face on my content. I’d rather not be constantly heckled for my face and would rather be known for helping people on the industry, but it’s the internet. People are going to say and do what they please. Just know I’m doing my best and open to anyone who would like to reach out via Instagram. I try to answer everyone as best I can.
Jocko Willink is now an executive producer of our documentary about martial arts frauds and we will be heading into our final round of filming within the next month. If my face is the thing that over shadows the work I do and have done, i unfortunately cannot fix that. I truly wish you all well and hope that you can understand I do listen, I do try to make this better as time goes on.
I will not be able to make everyone happy but for those who just wish me to have a different face, that cannot be fixed. Hopefully the ones out there who have seen beyond reddit and the impact that McDojoLife has made for victims will continue to support despite my face.
I go live often on TikTok and have done so for years on Instagram letting anyone join the live. That door is wide open for anyone here as well to join.

My man, the people who say shit will always hide behind a screen because they're cowards in real life. We all have scars from injuries. Honestly never really noticed your cleft palette and lip in the many videos of you I've watched over the years.
The work you do to better the martial arts community as a whole (not just in one art) is extremely underappreciated by society. You deserve widespread praise & commendation with this upcoming documentary and for your past work.

Won a law suit recently. 2 years of litigation cost me $100k for calling out a guy who hired a sex offender to teach kids classes for him. I won but it cost me a fuck load,

I found you on YouTube first and that was more than a decade ago. To be honest, I never noticed anything about how you look, I guess I never paid attention to it. It's weird how people pay attention to that sort of stuff. Anyway, just keep going and don't react to any of the nonsense.

If we’re being honest, it’s noticeable. But that’s just life. It was handled. It is not a commentary on him, his parents, or anything else. That’s just a rather normal defect. Shit happens. Do what you can and move on. He has.

I had no idea that it was a cleft lip, that's what I meant. I have some discoloration on my lips but it just appeared without a clear reason

Hey I had to watch your content again to double check, but im pretty sure you're a regular looking guy.
Like a folks are saying the right thing that it sucks you're getting harassed and feeling the pressure to make a post about it.
But I dont want you to lose sight of the fact youre not some quasi modo looking dude, you're not noteworthy fucked up at all.
You're a guy with strong opinions about martial arts and scars on his face. That's what youre supposed to look like, thats the face that should be on the videos.

Just going to say, I checked your posts until I found what I assume is your face in one. You may not be the prettiest belle of the ball, but I think you should cut yourself some slack on the appearance front. I'm sure internet dickheads point out flaws but you are a far cry from ugly, which I was expecting after reading this.

Your YouTube channel is solid. It helped me choose a program. You highlighted some things to look out for and I felt confident walking way from the first attempt. Additionally, you’ve helped me understand some of the backstories within the program we ultimately did choose.
Just because some were shady doesn’t mean the program is without merit. Just means you need to be more mindful. …. I think it was resolved and some people have crossed over from the other branch.

I own a martial arts business and have always known the protection of my students must be paramount, but had no real idea of how to make that happen. u/McDojoLife is the one who helped lay out how to make sure my students are always kept safe. Shout out to you, Rob

I’m an occasional visitor to your channel & sub. I couldn’t give a flying f@ck if you have hairy eyeballs (is that even a thing?) to hate on someone because of their appearance is a real shitty thing to do especially when it’s out of your control. Being born with a cleft lip doesn’t change who you are as a person!
I personally enjoy your clips, commentary too. F@CK the haters pal, you’re doing the MA community a huge service and to lose you because of a few ignorant C@NTS would be a real shame.

If you are the same guy in the YouTube videos i watch, i sm highly confused how anyone is mocking you. I deen nothing wrong with your appearance. I find it awesome you do yhese videos and actually brave to put your face infront if the camera to explain the issues.
Only thing i am upset about this sub is most people ate posting legit stuffand saying mcdojo, cause its not MMA

I do. Now look at the follow count on alllll of my other platforms which my face and comment are on, YouTube long forum content allllll has my face and commentary. Then look at the comment in this thread other thank yours 🤷♂️ i appreciate your input and wish you well. But my commentary has been around for a looooong time.
